Meerkat had arrived on Sapphique’s doorstep worse for wear. “An’ I wanted ta see where you an’ yer kin lived. Don’t know much about ya, but me captain’s do. Thought I’d change that.” He couldn’t grasp the complicated histories that entwined the wolves of Teekon. He was still new to this land; an outsider.
