All Welcome
Kigipigak's venture to the glen had taken him beyond it, to the edge of a lake, where he made camp for one night. In the dawnlight he explored for an hour or two, tried his hand at fishing, and managed to catch a pair of small frogs (which he ate himself) as well as a tall wading bird that had been preoccupied.

The bird was long and thin, with little meat on it. He killed it to see if he could, but it was not hard, and it left him in a poor mood. It felt wrong to waste it after the fact, so he touted it along with him, back through the glen and to the lower limits of the spine.

Its blue-gray feathers were not as pleasantly displayed after the day-long hike through wilderness. Still, the wings were intact, and when spread they were quite impressive to Kigipigak. He thought of who might benefit the most from this peculiar thing as he climbed his way towards the village outskirts - though by the time home was in view again, he was ready to toss it in the nearest cache and forget all about the pathetic, twiggy thing.
