The reply didn’t make sense to her at first, though comprehension eventually came to her. Druid opened her mouth to say something when Kas skittered into view, darting toward the nearby creek only to screech to a halt. When she turned, they came face to face.

The rest of my pack is back in the bypass, Druid said, telegraphing her movements a bit as she turned to point at the stone arches in the distance behind her. We’re small right now and looking for members, she added plainly, not entirely certain how to go about this recruitment business.
