Valette let out a long sigh when Laurel spoke about children not knowing how to parent. That was true, but she felt that Arlette did know. She had helped with her siblings. But, she was young and naive. She sighed again. "I just don't know what to think. I just wish she would return to me," she admitted to Laurel.

'Thanks for hearing me out," she softly smiled. "How are you doing?," she asked, not wanting this to be all about her. She hoped that Laurel was doing better, she still seemed distant and didn't really expect a honest answer.
