Sun Mote Copse I stole this from a hockey card

She felt his muscles quake in her jaws, and knew she'd awakened something within him that would goad him into battle. At least he had something left of instinct inside him- as he began to writhe and flail, making it harder and harder for her to maintain her hold on his scruff. She was surprised and impressed when her son suddenly pitted his brute strength against her own- and managed to push back enough to lift his chest and head up off the ground. He was now strong enough that he could not only bear the weight of another wolf, but do so under duress as well. She felt a pang of pride for a moment- and in that moment, she lost her grip on her son as he fell back to the ground. 

It was a smart move- and he was able to both free himself from the grip she had on the back of his neck, and cause her to stumble as he kicked one of her front legs out from under her...But in the end, this served only to bring the two of them closer- and with her son now laying on his side, she was afforded the opportunity to finish a fairly disappointing lesson in strongholds. Without hesitation, as she felt her stance slide, she followed her own downward momentum and grabbed her son by his exposed jugular.
