Chacal laughed at the little chirps of her daughter, and she nuzzled them together, as a mother bird would with her fledgelings. She preened the fur along Chiro's back and continued to hum the tune for a bit, while Chani exercised her lungs and vocal chords. In a lull, she began to sing again. 

"Brik kolon brik, brik kolon brik,
Wosiyol mange korosol.
Woulo woulo Mwen soti lavile o kay
tout bet tonbe nan dlo,
Chéri, mwen trò fatigue!"
It can be assumed that if Chacal is speaking, she will be singing. Her speaking patterns will always have a melodic quality to them.
