All Welcome
The camp is located at the edge of the Sentinels, where the woods meet the Honeyed Pasture and Deepwood. This thread is open to anyone from Natigvik or anyone in the area, not just those tagged. :>

Fresh from the hunt at the beach, Kigipigak carries a brace of hares. They hang ragdoll from his grip. They are fatter than anything he'd spotted in the taiga back home and he is jealous over that, but also thankful. The hunting is much easier here.

As the man paces, hunting through the shade for @Sakhmet, he drops these hares to the ground and calls out, @Akkuma, @Kivaluk, I have brought you something. It is the first time he's managed to bring them something warm-blooded to eat and he wonders what they'll make of things.

Soon they would be off for the final leg of their journey. They had come so far already!

preeeeeetty sure he's supposed to know enough to ask this but kick me if im wrong
akkuma arrived first, a change from his usual habits, though he remained as silent and stoic as ever. his distaste for his father's offering did not show on his face. it smelled different from what he was used to, and he wasn't certain how he felt about it. so far, it was nothing good.
thank you, he said, thinking fish would be better. he ate only a little, too stressed by the journey away from their river and repulsed by the smell of the hare to work up much of an appetite. when he was done, he sat back and said, what is moonglow like?

Kigipigak settles in to watch the boys. Sakhmet rests nearby. While Akkuma eats, Kigipigak brings one of the fatter rabbits to her and after a kiss to her cheek (out of view of their sons), he returns to where he had left Akkuma with his meal.

It is lightly plucked at. Perhaps the boy is more fond of what is known, and misses the fish of the river. He s0unds distracted with his question and Kigipigak has half a mind to tell him, eat!

Instead, he entertains thoughts of Moonglow.

It is a place much like our home. There are more people living there, so it is a busy place, but the people are kind and they are family to us. He pauses to let this sentiment digest.

In Natigvik your mother is Issumatar. In Moonglow, they call it something else. The woman who mothers that village is our kin and her name is Kukutux. Kigipigak is happy to speak of this place and its people.
