Pack Activity

Seeing that @Easy was in their territory, and @Sunny as well, Valette decided that it would be good to have a pack hunt. Easy wanted to learn how to hunt bison. The alpha realized that one of the bison was limping. It was their chance to take out one. She howled to the whole pack to gather at Stone Circle. She hoped that this hunt would not only teach Easy but also her own children. Steph had been hurt by the bison so she could imagine if her daughter didn't feel like hunting them yet.

Valette sat on the big stone that laid horizontally in the middle while waiting for everyone to arrive. In the meanwhile, she looked down at the plains below where the bison where grazing. They hadn't grown alert with her summoning howl which was a good thing.

Memories. Something that had yet to come back to her. She knew this to be her home because Mawk and Howl had told her so. She knew Valette to be alpha because her scent was the most prominent around the borders. She had children of her own yet she didn't remember them. It made everything so hard to process and deal with.

So when the call for a hunt was sent up she took it as a chance to relieve some of her frustrations and prove to the pack she couldn't remember that she was still useful. She quickly made her way toward it and found she was the first to answer the call. She avoided looking at Valette, Authority meant submission right?  So she dipped her head and averted her eyes, giving a small wiggle of her tail stub. "Ma'am"She said softly and waited for instructions.

When he heard Valette's call for the pack he had nothing else pressing on his agenda and made his way to the stone she sat on. On his way over he saw the bison in the plains below and suspected that the pack would be gathering for a hunt. He was happily suprised to see that Cebra was the first to respond to Valette's call. He was happy everytime he saw her, knowing that she was still at home and away from those terrible woods. He had given her some space, not wanting to hover over her as she got reaquainted to the surroundings, but saw her enough on his patrols to know that she was doing alright. He sat next to her after nodding his head to Valette and waited for the rest of the pack to join them.
Howl is always open to some interesting plots.

Easy wasn't familiar with most of the wolves in Easthollow, but she'd stuck close to Steph and was slowly getting to know Valette's pack. That, of course, meant she had no idea who Howl was, and only a passing knowledge of Illecebra and her situation. Needless to say, Easy steered far clear of the both of them.

"Hi Auntie," she chirped, trotting up to Valette's rock and coming around the side to look out at the bison. A tiny shiver shot down her spine at hte sight - they seemed bigger than they were in her memories. Still, she tried to push that aside to try and spot the one that Valette had called them to hunt. She was pretty sure she'd spotted it when she noticed one with a limp.

idk is if it's pp having two characters in one hunt so if Val could notice Cebra isnt in the shape for this, Sunny can help out just fine.

He had told Valette that he would consider joining and he had, so when she called he answered by heading to the hills. He stopped beside Easy, his gaze focusing on Illecebra, easy to remember because of her facial markings but holy hell She looked beaten. Her ear and tail were missing, she had scars and scabs all over and she looked much too thin to be doing this. Perhaps she shouldn't be hunting these large beasts, but it wasn't his place to say so.

Kiran heard her alphas howl and immediately made her way to its locations she saw everyone gathered. She noticed a very distinguishable scent, it matched the female whom had taught her a bit of medicine. Perhaps they too were from the pack she was.

Steph was late and she knew it. She hadn't been anywhere near where Valette's howl had rang out, but she was quickly making her way there. Knowing it was a hunt, though, she didn't want to exert too much energy on getting there, or else she wouldn't have enough left over for the hunt. While she didn't forget about her previous run in with the bison, she still wasn't afraid of the hunt. She was a wolf, and this is what they did, previous injury or no.

She trotted in, shooting an apologetic smile towards Valette as she came up beside Howl. She was glad they had become friends after their rocky start. Her tail wagged as she waited to see what role she would play in the hunt.

New Round!! Posting order Reset! @Mawk @Rhodes @Sankori @Cyron @Casimir @Stark

Valette watched most of the pack respond to her howl. She wondered where her mate Stark was but perhaps he was scouting somewhere. She wasn't aware. Valette did notice how weird Illecebra behaved. But there was no Mawk to ask what happened to her. Cebra didn't really seem herself at all. She greeted Howl with a pleased nod, same for Easy and Sunny. He was glad they could help. She glanced once more at Cebra, was she capable of hunting?

She nodded to Kiran when she came. The female seemed to like hunting and tracking. Valette then noticed Steph showed up as well. "Welcome all. Easy and Sunny are our guests for this hunt. We are going to hunt the one limping bison. I hope others will join as well because the more we have the more intimidated the bison will be. At first, we need to startle them so the bison will run instead of forming a defensive circle. We are all in on this. Make as much sound as possible, make it sound we are with a 100 wolves so they are really scared," she explained to the group. She would assess Cebra there, if she couldn't keep up she would make sure the female would sit out this hunt. "Does everyone understand this? Let's go!," she spoke and instantly started a waterfall of howls, growls, snarls, and yowls.

Now that Casimir had met the pretty young girl Steph, the boy felt quite comfortable roaming the territory. As he trotted along, the silver-headed young male was alerted by a howl, namely the voice of his Alpha Valette. Cas carried himself with haste towards her call, arriving in an appropriate time. His green eyes shone like emeralds as Casimir smiled at all of the surrounding wolves, giving polite greeting nods to each of them, his eyes lingering a bit on Steph. The young one then turned his attention back to Valette as she spoke. He quickly became excited as she spoke of the hunt, a boyish playfulness glimmering through his gaze. Casimir joined into the chorus of sounds, his limber legs shuffling with excitement as he glanced between his new packmates.

Noise! She could do that for sure. It was a welcome change from her father's insistence that she be quiet on hunts, and Easy joined in with a bone-chilling bay that she hadn't known she was capable of producing.

For the moment, she kept careful step with Sunny, a bit unsure of herself around such large animals. Later on, though, she knew she would have to step out of her big brother's shadow.

To be honest, Steph was a little nervous about this hunt. She had not forgotten her last run in with the bison, and she didn't want to make that mistake again. If she lived through it, Valette might kill her. Her heart pounded in her chest as the anticipation grew, but she tried her best to listen to her Mom on what they were going to do. Chase. Be loud. Got it!

So, in the group of wolves, Steph growled and barked, and snapped her jaws towards the ankles of their intended prey. She didn't attempt to make a move at actually connected with the bison, instead choosing to wait until they singled one out.

The next to arrive to the party was a pretty young dark female, and it shocked him a bit when she called Valette 'auntie'. Howl didn't know of any of Valette's siblings, or at least didn't know that they were her siblings. After her was a male, they had similar scents causing him to assume they were from the same pack and visiting Easthollow. He wondered if they were from one of the allied packs like Morningside.

He got their names from Valette, along with the plan for the hunt. He glanced over at Cebra wondering what she would do for this hunt. He didn't think she was ready, but she was strong and that would be her choice. He remembered the last time the pack had hunted a bison, it was already dead practically. Abandoned by the rest of the herd. But he wanted to show how usefu he was this hunt. He hated the idea of being on the side lines.

After hearing her plan he went racing towards the herd, wanting to be one of the front runners. He nipped at the ankles of the large beasts and let out a set of deep roarish barks sure to echo and startle in his opinon.
