All Welcome
no obligation to join lieu! <3 for reference to whomever snags this: aegir’s chilling in that empty space east of dragoncrest cliffs.

as aegir paces the soft and cold sand, a light tan of his once island home, a light snow begins to fall; snowclouds hanging heavy and drab grey over a sunrise that was once a beautiful myriad of vibrant, candyfloss purples and pinks. though @Njord and him had set out on their journey together, initially, their paths had separated — the reason of why aegir could no longer remember; bad weather, perhaps? regardless, it leaves aegir feeling the absence of his brother keenly; admittedly far more keenly than leaving the nest and by proxy angrboda behind. his time spent with wandering clans with no claim to call home was educational and hard at best.

the familiar rumble of the sea, at least, brings with it a deep rooted sense of comfort. though he was never as religious as his grandfather, axolotl, he was a coastal wolf thru and thru and there was a sense of his identity rooted in the sea. it blessed them with food: fish, delicacies, and seaweed to better preserve their meats; and so long as he was near the sea he did not feel quite so lost …despite that he was in fact, lost.

as the snow begins to fall heavier and makes the conditions slightly more challenging, aegir veers off of the sand and onto solid ground in the hopes of finding shelter.

Oooohhh boy!
Despite the storm Njord continues to search for Regin up and down the coast. Unfortunately, fresh snow refilled tracks faster than the islander could search and soon the mission seemed hopeless. Njord rounded back to the beach, pulled towards the comfort of the sea. Just weeks before Sapphique was thriving in numbers, but now they had been whittled down to a skeleton crew. With three of the Rosada members gone, and this storm giving no quarter, how would they made it through the season?

It wasn’t like Njord to worry, but the new circumstances leveled up his maturity tenfold. With a heavy mind, and heavy heart, he doubled back in the direction of Dragoncrest until a smear of red against fresh white caused his head to snap to attention.

It wasn’t - no. Njord looked like he had seen the ghost of Christmas past. There stood the mighty Aegir, his older brother – vibrant and commanding as ever. They had departed Meares Island together, but Njord had purposefully slipped away to start his own adventure, his own life. He had succeeded… escaped his pious, oppressive and the role of little brother. Was Aegir here to drag him back?

“Aegir?” Njord called out, “Is tha you?” he called out as he approached the firey man, blue eyes dubious.

As Njord approached Aegir turned the other way, missing his brother by moments. Having not seen or heard him, the redtail retreated as if he had seen a ghost, back to Sapphique but with new knowledge that his brother had made it ashore Teekon and roamed these lands.
