All Welcome
as her pregnancy progressed, praimfaya spent half the time marveling over it — the fact that she was carrying new life inside her — and finding it progressively uncomfortable. today was one of those days. they were active and one in particular appeared to like kicking her in the bladder. her fourth time in the first two hours pausing to urinate — though it worked out for her as she patrolled the borders. that, too was growing harder. her feet ached in a way that wasn't familiar to her and she found herself pausing frequently to catch her breath.

she was sure that her due date would be in the next few weeks and at the moment, the young commander couldn't wait. to meet them ...to get her body back and be able to do the activities she previously took for granted ( little did she know it would be some time before she got back to that ).

She felt like a cow, and with her coloration, she probably looked like one, too. But then again, aren’t cows awesome, sweet, lovable creatures? Not to say Sequoia was that, but she didn’t feel all that bad. Her pregnancy had been an easy one, which was surprising considering it was her first. @Mahler provided her what she needed when she couldn’t get it herself, she drank so much water she thought she might become one with the river, and the rest of her time was spent resting and relaxing.

It made her glad she hadn’t been asked to lead like Praimfaya had. (Had she been asked, or did she ask for it herself?) Sequoia was responsible for only one thing: keeping herself healthy for the forthcoming children. So far, she’d done that splendidly!

Heyo! she called out, bubbly as ever, when she spotted the aforementioned leader. I never got to formally congratulate you on that promotion of yours.

With the knowledge that the two younger women of Rivenwood were with child, Laurel made sure to bring them food every once in a while, when she hunted and had leftovers. She knew what it was like to rear children alone (though with Indra's help, she'd never been truly alone). Presently, she caught scent of Sequoia nearby and she had half a rabbit left from an earlier catch, so Laurel followed the scent. Only when she nearly reached her pack mate did Laurel realise that she was with Praimfaya, the other in the pack who was pregnant.

Laurel knew how to behave in front of Praimfaya and she knew how to behave in front of Sequoia, but she had not yet met both of them at the same time. This posed a bit of a dilemma, especially with how shaken she had been lately, since her visit to the Grotto and all the memories it had brought her. It'd brought her back to herself and her senses a bit, but it also made the wolf she wanted to be before her pack mates — before anyone — in conflict with the wolf inside her heart.

After her approach Laurel put down the half a rabbit beside the pair of women. Hiya, she greeted, friendly enough, a bubbly smile on her face. We'll either have to have a contest to figure out which of you two is hungrier right now, or you could share it. Laurel smiled playfully between the two of them and waited to see how they would respond, though she presumed fully that they would share it (or, perhaps, that Praimfaya, as leader, would claim it).

sequoia is sunshine personified; a stark contrast to praimfaya's rigidness. praimfaya is not sure she could ever mimic the bubbliness but she offers sequoia a soft smile all the same. thank you, the commander offers with a dip of her head; it was not her first stint as a leader but hopefully with experience and years behind her it would be a more successful run. and uh, i'm not sure if congratulations on your pregnancy is the right word but congrats. praimfaya offers, noting that sequoia is also rotund.

maybe a bit more far along that praimfaya herself but she suspects they were close to the same time.

her attention deviates from the other woman as another voice joins them; offering laurel a wag of her tail. hello, praimfaya greets in turn. praimfaya, not feeling very hungry at the moment, praimfaya offers laurel an appreciative smile. thank you, she does not wish to take the kindness for granted. i'm not real hungry at the moment. which was a surprise given that her appetite had doubled since becoming pregnant.

It's the right word! Sequoia beamed. In fact, why wouldn't it be? Sequoia had wanted it, and she'd gotten it. Laurel appeared a moment later, and Seq's eyes immediately trailed to the rabbit she carried. Saliva began to collect at the corners of her mouth, and she licked her lips in anticipation of the meal. When Praimfaya rejected it, Sequoia wasted no time grabbing it for herself and scarfing it down right in front of the two of them.

The three of them marked all of the women Sequoia knew to be in Rivenwood, and she was glad that they were all hanging out together. There was just something special about friends who were girls. She thought of Kiwi for a moment, but tried not to dwell on it too long, instead focusing on eating and listening to what the other two had to say.

It seemed that Praimfaya, while appreciating the gesture, wasn't hungry anyway and so Laurel turned to look at Sequoia. She, in turn, was very hungry and without further ado wolfed down the food that had been brought. Laurel smiled, glad that someone could use the food she provided. She hoped they'd do the same for her, when her time came; thoughts of her most recent conversations with Mahler were still thick on her mind.

Sequoia was eating which left Laurel and Praimfaya to talk. Laurel was silent for a moment before she asked, How is your pregnancy coming along? And the women talked for a bit longer before eventually Laurel went on her way again.
