For the fam!

Within the ulaq, Inutsuk sat close to @Shikoba as he watched his @Ajei and @Chiteo wrestle from afar.

They've grown quickly, and well. He speaks, a soft rumble.

He places a soft kiss upon her head, then looks back to their children.

Though she loved her brother. She just wasn't as much of a rough houser as he was. So signaling she needed a break she trotted over and flopped at their father's paws and stared out at the world.

there were many hardships that shikoba has faced in her life, and when she was but a young girl, she had no dreams about being a mother and growing the tender flesh that graces her features. she had planned on becoming a war chief, akin to the pathway that her parents had led to her follow.

and yet here she was, a warden of peace to the spine and a mother of 3 beautiful children.

"they have," she says to him, "and i always wonder who they will be when they grow to mojag's age." shikoba knew that there were hardships in her firstborn's life that she wished were not present. the boy grew up with practically no father figure, and despite the reunification, she could sense that there was still a strain. her son attempted to constantly front something that he was not, and although shikoba has a mother's gentleness to try and guide him to the truth, she knows that it is something that mojag must do on his own. "our ajei, she is a gentle girl. i think she may prefer to find a path where fighting isn't included. and our chiteo?"

a small cast to her soft wheat boy before laughing a bit. "he's a bit of a mystery too."

Both of the children were described perfectly. Ajei, timid, but kind and sweet. Chiteo, playful, but always acting in ways you may never expect.

I can't help but think little Ajei may learn well by the wisdom of Kukutux. Perhaps to speak tongues with the spirits, and gain a talent for healing. All simple options he had considered for his daughter. And Chiteo— he may be firsthunter, like his mother was. For he was strong and devoted to his family.

Ajei listened as they spoke above her. Spirits she of course knee of thrm even mama apoke of them, but well they didn't interest her. But healing. That was making someone feel better right? Could she do that.

She frowned. She'd have to talk to others. That alone scared her.

shikoba could see the shift in her littlest and soon comes to give her daughter a comforting kiss on her brow. "no matter what, your anaa and tataa will be proud of you."

whether they were hunters, fighters, healers, or just wayward souls, shikoba knew that her kids were going to figure things out. sometimes they needed help, other times they needed to be alone. either way, star hunter has learned much since her time of caring for mojag. her son walks the path of a man.

and soon, it would be time for his siblings to meet him. they would see the glorious nature of him, and perhaps feel a level of inspiration that shikoba could never instill on her own.

a soft breath as she looks upon her husband's handsome face. "our chiteo has his good looks from you." a soft little joke followed by a laugh and shake of the head. her little vain boy would come to grow from this, well, it would be an eventual hope.
