All Welcome
The first day of life had been and eventful one, but little Roux had been quick to forget all about how it'd begun. She settled into the routine expected of newborns: wail, nurse, snooze, repeat.

Roux parted her jaws in a yawn as she roused the evening following her birth, stretching out between her sisters - shoving at one with her paws to make further room.

Each of her children were unique, and while their personalities would define them further as they grew, currently she was most fascinated with the looks of her newest batch of children. Like a proud dragon, she fawned over her beautiful treasures, each precious to her in their own way.

Little baby yawns were always adorable. She could se the cresting wave-like lines on the roof of Roux’s mouth as she opened her mouth wide. She chuckled softly, and cleaned the tiny one’s cheeks.

She likened Roux to the downy feather of a seabird- pale, soft, and beautiful.
It can be assumed that if Chacal is speaking, she will be singing. Her speaking patterns will always have a melodic quality to them.

Despite her tiny stature, Roux was a strong child. She made room for herself among the bundle of pups and stretched out, flexing limbs and finding that she enjoyed this new ability to move

A touch came from above, for her mother observed her quietly. Roux emitted a soft little coo, initially surprised at the caress to her little cheek, but she was quick to realise that it came from someone familiar and settled once more.

Like a dove, her daughter’s soft sounds were gentle and sweet, melodious to her mother’s ears. She wished for her children to be musical- she had sung often while she carried them, and continued the practice even now before they knew what words meant.

"Ti zwazo koté ou pralé?
Mwenn prale kay fiyét lalo,
Fiyét lalo k'on mangé ou tou-
si ou alé lap mangé ou t-t-t-t-tou!"

Her tongue jittered against her teeth, and she felt her jaw clench. The familiarity of the stutter shocked her for a moment; she had managed to go years without it, so long as she sung. She fell silent in the wake of the disturbance, confounded that it seemed to want to return, all of a sudden.

She tried not to fret about it- but was also too frightened to try and sing again, now that her heart beat so wildly.
It can be assumed that if Chacal is speaking, she will be singing. Her speaking patterns will always have a melodic quality to them.

She did not hear the words, but the thrum of music was a familiar one. Little Roux was lulled, almost, toward sleep once again, but soon silence enveloped her and she was left wanting.

Roux emitted a soft sound - encouraging her mother to continue.
