The dark figure wondered if she had been unable to pick up the scent of the markings on the canyon’s borders. He wondered then if Germanicus would appear to chase the intruder from his kingdom. The thought made him shift nervously.

Mereo is not my pack. It is the pack of Germanicus… and he is- what? Crowfeather paused, unable to decide what he had wanted to say next. I’m only being treated by the healer here. Then I will be alone, too. It was what he was used to.
