Question regarding adopting pups

Hello! I apologize if this question has been asked somewhere before but I couldn't find a straight answer while searching.

I know that for breeding season, both parents need to meet certain requirements to have pups. However, I was wondering if these requirements would also extend to parents who adopted pups that weren't their own?

I'm not sure if Leigh is ready for romance yet, but she definitely can't turn down some cute puppers if the opportunity ever arrived.

With breeding/pup season coming up, I just thought I'd ask in case something were to happen so I can decide whether or not to prepare/meet requirements beforehand.

The requirements are only if you are breeding/one's giving birth-

however you cannot bring a pup from out of game for the sole reason to 'adopt'

if you are wishing to adopt, the pup must be born in-game and given to you if its agreed upon (OOCly anyway, a child could not survive easily without the mother giving milk, otherwise it could be kidnapping afterwards)

for example Raleska had given up her pups and Rosalyn and Erzulie are caring for them!

otherwise it's okay!

MERs are only for breeding and conception (iirc)
an adoptive parent wouldn't need to meet them

Correct: MERs are only for the biological parents.
