Moonstone Quarry ^^ yo yo @Tatsuya perhaps :>
After her shoreline meal, Roz had turned inland, sauntering casually through signs of obvious destruction. Apparently this place had seen one hell of a squall, and the Rivaini delighted in her luck. For once, timing had been on her side. A little earlier and she might have been caught in it.
"Again soon, beautiful," she'd bid the shore as she left it, and now slipped down into a basin containing pools of a fresher variety. The salted fish left her thirsty, so she paused for a drink before surveying. This place looked to have been spared the force's touch, though it still wasn't mich to look at. Unless there just hadn't been anything to destroy. Or there was nothing left.
Cheery, she thought sardonically, tipping her head to appraise her reflection instead. Hmm. What now?
Nothing had been spared in the swirling tempest. His home has been charred. The rest turned into some kind of a hellscape. Tatsuya felt apprehensive at the consummate destruction of it all but also animated by it. His world has changed. All he could do now was adapt. Not a subject the wolverine excelled at, as Iqniq might agree with. Life in a pack could not compare to this mess though. Gnarled trees littered about spacious areas, twigs and splinters strewn about in equal measure. Puddles were everywhere and some lowlands were flooded. Shrub and plant life appeared pristine but fewer in number. That batch of Prince's Pine near Neverwinter Forest was crushed. This discovery broke his heart and he wept openly over his loss...Just kidding, but he did consider it.
INDENTNot wanting to wander too far from Tonravik and his pack mates, Tatsuya headed for that peculiar dip in the earth southwest of Ouroboros Spine. The one that was visible from the Spine in certain elevations. On clear days he could make out the silver mirrors (presumably pools of freshwater) within the stone pit, beaming brilliantly like liquified suns interred in gray stone. Beautiful, he once admired, reminding himself to travel there and take a closer look. Then Iqniq came at him on the fateful night and blah, blah, delayed plans. Nothing like the present. Now was as good a time as ever to visit that sequestered place.
INDENTAnd visit he did, although it was not quite what he expected. Everything smelled...differently here. Like wet clay after a brisk cascade only more potent. It was a rare smell, one he relished. Tatsuya stopped from time to time to dig at compressible areas in the rock. How curious. He did not know stone could be so pliant. Almost like mud. By the time he was finished investigating these certain spots, he moved further inward...only to be greeted by the view of a shapely rump. O-oh. Who knew what prizes awaited him 'round each corner? Marvelous. Simply marvelous!
INDENTTatsuya spent an embarrassing amount of time staring at Roslyn's ass. It was a nice ass, okay. It was an ass worthy of his speculative, artistic opinion. One that involved ogling and gawking.

i don't think I could have a character more my opposite so lets have fun shall we?
Omg I knew this was gonna be a challenge
Omg I knew this was gonna be a challenge
It wasn't long before she became aware of her observer, senses tingling as his eyes rested on her nethers. A quick peripheral glance confirmed it, and she twitched her tail jauntily, reveling in the attention. Beauty was meant to be shared, no?
"I'd ask if you were enjoying the view, but that's hardly a question, is it?" She threw back saucily, not quite yet turning to face him. She knew what she had to offer... but as to what he returned with, well, that had yet to be seen. When she did finally about face, it was to cast a lingering look down his length, a return on the oogling she'd been recieving already. Not bad. Not bad at all.
She left the ball in his court as to where this would continue.... small talk wasn't much of a passion of hers, and most bored her to tears within moments. Straight-laced pack wolves with their dull inquiries and recruiting attempts. Assuming that because she was a loner she must be looking to settle. As if.
A flirty wave of her tail made his nostrils flair, breathing deep her sultry odor. A voice accompanied the perfume; a feminine lilt, a siren's promise. Whatever have I gotten myself in to? Where this convergence was headed, he could play along. If this became anything more than a flirty back and forth...Oh my. It just got unseasonably warm. It was only going to get hotter, ostensibly. The temptress turned to solicit him, harvest gold eyes drinking him in. Tatsuya made a show of revealing his pleasing genes. It involved flaunting and flexing. Look at these glutes. This came easily to him. The Epsilon was not being serious when putting himself on display. It was more of an attempt to make the swashbuckler laugh at his grandiose vanity.
INDENTWhether she found humor in his posturing or not, Tatsuya drew close with a salacious glint in his sunburst eyes. It was tactical maneuver to admire her own features. Namely those on her face. Her snout was long and svelte, adorned in an sable silk. The same blackness wreathed her lovely eyes before blending into earthen colors, accentuated attractively with auburn strokes. The shapely contours of her face had a certain individualism that garnered his attention. Ah, but, it is rude to stare. Tatsuya rested his fulgent regard upon her own now. A bass, entertained hum teased the skin of her jawline should she allow it. A base, vulturous sound.
INDENT“You are correct in that assumption, madam, but I now see you have other...assets worthy of attention.” Rosalyn's sentiment on small talk was going to have to be reinforced if she wanted more from this encounter. Tatsuya enjoyed the chase just as much as the prize. Both were equally pleasurable, though one left him feeling more...pent-up than the other.

The alpha female could not—would not—move far from the pack. The quarry was not so far from them at all. She thought of the red one again, and felt it prudent to scout for her. Tonravik did not want to leave any behind. While the likelihood of her living through the storm was slim to none, she would search nonetheless for as long as she could. She was both sore and tender and tired... but this was a necessity. If her subordinate was alive, Tonravik sought to find her. Limbs carried her in the direction of Kapvik. She had a mind to recruit him on this journey with her, given he had been able to meet with her mate, beta, and Arverk in a time where the odds were against him. She knew her mate, too, would search; but the wolverine had not met the fiery female, so he needed to be informed.
There was another scent on the wind, feminine and unfamiliar.
Truth be told, Tonravik did not yet seek to recruit. She sought to keep her numbers stable and her wolves fed and united. The prospect, as she came upon the scene, did not occur at all to her. The earth sucked at her feet as she glanced to the distant Spine...
And then broke into the scene. There was a woman there, and her subordinate. That she might have interrupted something did not seem to effect her... and truth be told, if she had, she did not know. The bear of a wolf looked dourly at the female, and shook dirt from her furs. The two women contrasted one another entirely; one all woman, curvacious, and lovely... and then, there was the woman-beast, who hardly looked the part of a woman except for her own curves that betrayed her sex. She stood there, quietly, and then at last her head swung to turn to Kapvik, keeping the woman in her peripherals.
Assets. She was unsure if the wordplay was intentional, but it failed to slip by her notice, and her lips curved into a grin. She was a sucker for clever humor, the more ribald, the better. "My assets are hardly a question either. Yours, though... well, let's just say, I'm intrigued." She made no move to close the distance between them just yet, for at that moment, another appeared to join their little rendezvous.
The other woman had a face about as welcoming as the land they now stood on, and it caused an automatic widening smile to highlight the rogue's features. The woman's appearance didn't bother the Rivaini, who had seen (and been) worse. It was her way of carriage that was amusing... masculine and stiff, a complete foil to the easy open stance Roz adapted. There was no defensiveness as she shamelessly drank in this new party's features as well, before turning back to Tatsuya.
"If she joins, it'll be double," she said with a wink, the obvious laugh behind the words telling of their jovial nature. She had nothing against such deals (and had made a few of them previously) but she wasn't sure that she wished this encounter to go that way just yet, if at all. After all, what did they have that she needed? It was said more for the sake of the newcomer, a comment that might bring a reaction of some sort, if it was not discounted completely.

Oh, the wordplay was definitely intentional. Judging by her smirk, she picked up on that too. A woman after my own d–A familiar presence made his scruff bristle as the succubus' gaze was drawn to a third character. Lo and behold, it was his taken, nonsexual Alpha! Damn it, Ton. I can't fucking beli– A man has needs, okay? A very specific set of needs you cannot meet right no– GODDAMN IT. WHAT? WHAT DO YOU WANT, WOMAN? For all the turmoil going on in his head right now, Tatsuya kept a blank expression as he turned to Tonravik. Rosalyn's comment was hilarious but he was too upset over blue balls to agree right now. The fact that the temptress had experience with the fairer sex just made it worse. Damn, he wanted some nookie...
INDENT“She...she's really no–” Oh, honey. You are so barking up the wrong tree right now. Clearing his throat, he tried again. “She's not the type...and she's taken.” Double disappointment, double blue balls. Hooray. “She's my, uh...Alpha.” Hopefully Rosalyn would get the picture and see that he could no longer woo her with Tonravik around. She was not the kind of wolf to track him down for tea and crumpets. She likely had an assignment for him. Sighing, deflated, he padded over to his superior, silent and expectant. Yes? How may I serve you, Dame Cockblock?

The woman's words caused Tonravik to bristle. It was entirely because she did not know what she meant, and jumped to the conclusion that the other might be speaking of her joining a pack. She suddenly sensed that she had walked into something rather than nothing. The air was heavy only when Kapvik stammered. She was no genius, but she could be perceptive... and by now, she knew Kapvik well enough to understand that he was no longer in his comfort zone.
Her dark eyes then kept to the lone wolf as her subordinate came toward her, emotions imperceptible upon the features set in their natural grimace. There was a distinct lack of amusement there, as she lifted her lip disparagingly toward the other. Tonravik was not a jovial woman herself... and the things she managed to find amusing others seemed to not. The prattling of her subordinate had ended, and here was Kapvik before her.
Tonravik gestured toward the Spine with her muzzle. He was correct, she was here for a reason—a reason he would come to know—but she would speak nothing of it before the stranger. Her eyes still lingered upon the vixen before them both, licking her chops. However her words were meant, Tonravik had no appreciation for them. They were both taken the wrong way, and lost on her. Kapvik would find there were worse things than blue balls... for instance, having no family jewels at all.

That the woman was 'not the type' was what Roz had been banking on... otherwise the comment likely wouldn't have been made. She'd been hoping for a rise, and was not disappointed. Although, if she'd been mistaken... she wouldn't have been too upset. After all, the woman had a rugged sort of merit to her. Appearance wise there was charm. Personality wise? She watched the lips lift before her with muted interest. Not so much.
She showed no physical reaction, feeling no danger in the gesture and fearing no repercussion. "A real barrel of cheer she is too," she responded, the statement identifying her as his Alpha further showing why exactly she had no such tether. Having one such as this to ruin her fun didn't square well with the rogue, for she'd never responded well to leashes.
He seemed content to prostrate himself before her, and Roz wasn't too keen on starting trouble. Especially not over something so trivial as this. Apparently her assets - and her ass - would be hers to keep today. A pity, as it had been a while since she'd had a good tumble, but unavoidable. She gave a lingering look as he joined his leader, tsking softly to herself. Crying shame, that.

Breeding out of season was harmless. Tatsuya approached the sea maiden purely for recreation, not to settle down and have a family together. Tonravik was perceptive enough to notice what was going on here, but not enough to realize that there was no way Rosalyn could get pregnant? I mean, why else would she be acting like this? Oh, wait. That's right. His Alpha was not well-versed in euphemisms.
INDENTShe was not stupid – a point she has proven time and time again – but she barely spoke. Even to her own pack mates. Accordingly, this may have impacted her psychologically. Tonravik was not bothered in harboring this fault, and yet she admired strength. To master battle was an impressive accomplishment, to be sure, but what of words? Persuasion, intellect – it could be used like a weapon if the Alpha wanted. To wield both was worthy of esteem and fear. Make the enemy second guess themselves before resorting to violence. Does wonders to the anarchic and the faithless. But...this was a matter that could be brought up at a later time.
INDENTYeah. Tell me about it, he mentally agreed with the loner. Tonravik had her faults but so far she was an efficient Alpha; deserving trust and support. Perhaps more so then Rosalyn. Although he could not say the same for himself, ready to stick his dick in the first wolf who showed interest...Okay, that was a bad analogy. Tatsuya would still go through with it had Tonravik left them alone. Sex was his vice. He did not participate often, no, but it was nice to engage in. No amount of interference from Tonravik was going to change that. (Ha ha.)
INDENT“Shall we?” A question for his superior's ears alone. Come on. Let's leave before she says or does something that really pisses you off. The temptress seemed the sort to invite fate. Tonravik dealt in fate; a proverbial grim reaper to those who transgress. The two of them together was making him queasy. Come on, come on.

The leader could only blink at the others words, taking the words literally and wondering at the others inability to read others (ironic, in that she could not understand the sarcasm there). The lack of reaction mattered not to the black bear of a wolf, who cared nothing for the other so long as they did not intervene or directly challenge her. It was only when Kapvik spoke that her hard stare broke, and she grunted lowly in response, moving to nose him forward.
She had delayed long enough. The alpha female yearned to find the missing red wolf, and also, Aariak who had not been with them. They would search what they could. Now that it could be helped, she aspired to not leave the two behind if they were to be found.

last from me!

After watching momentarily to ensure her departure would be uninhibited, the dark woman turned and left, giving a quick inclination and a lifted look that might have been to relay 'your loss'. She definitely considered some closing remarks, but had the feeling none would be taken well. The bearlike Alpha was not one she wanted to tangle with, not now at least.
Seemed like as good a time as ever to bail on this. There were other forests.
