Rodyn felt helpless, adrift, angry, sad, and these thoughts burned like fire. He was unsure of the future of moontide. He was swiftly beginning to think it was cursed or he was cursed one of the two.
Three woman he had been given their names one he chose. She had died. The second had died the third had found another. He could accept those as coincidences maybe.
Heph had been elevated to beta she left. Chakliux had been elevated to beta. He walked into the sea and disappeared. Marina had been elevated and she had fell beneath the sea. Now Sirmiq was leaving.
What else could possibly happen. Kidnappings. The atrocities of moontides wolves lives was growing. And Rodyn stood at the helm of a sinking ship. Breathing the air until the water filled his lungs he felt helpless.

Hope you don’t mind if I pop in! If you want me out just say the word & I’ll delete my post :)
From Moonspear, Ipiktok journeyed to the coast. The cold salt air invigorated the youthful man and he walked with a spring in his step. Their customs permitted free travel between the villages, so Ipiktok walked without inhibition within the coastal territory.
He didn’t remember much of saltshore… that brief chapter of his childhood… but Ipiktok couldn’t mistake the feeling of nostalgia when he heard the sounds of whistling seagrass and the drum of distant crashing waves.
Then, he spied the unmistakable silhouette of Rodyn, Moontide’s alpha. The man’s reputation as hunt leader and trader was well known. Ipiktok remembered watching him from the hills of Hoshor Plains as a boy, and had been lucky enough to briefly travel together.
He approached, vaguely knowing that Moontide had endured some recent hardships, but unaware of the gravity of them and the disappearance of Chakliux, the seal hunter.
“Ho!” Ipiktok called out with a friendly expression as he loped toward the man he viewed as Uncle.

almost hyperventilates. A lieu in my thread. Absolutely do not mind
Rodyn often had children of moonglow among his wolves. Visiting and staying. Then returning home. He had none from moonspear. But that was okay
Rodyn didn't often think of his reach or reputation. He did what he did for those he cared for. No other reason.
A call and he lifted his head. A small smile on his maw.
Hello ipiktok!

“Akkaq!” he called over the ocean sounds. “It has been some time!” The large and stocky auburn man looked as if the time of hand had not passed. Ipiktok rolled his shoulders as if to show off his budding physique.
“I went on a journey, shortly after the gathering,” Ipiktok explained. “How have you been? Have your trades been well?” he asked, knowing how much wealth Moontide had accumulated.

A smile on his face at the moniker of uncle. He would take it. None even called him dad anymore. His two sons spread for and wide. And he doubted he'd have more at least not anytime soon. Women and him just didn't work well.
Rodyn smiled and nodded his head.
Look at how well you grew. A hunters build! It pleases me to see your face.
Rodyn smiled and nodded his head.
We have much Wealth. The future of the wolves of moontide is well secured. I even have gifts for any young men of moon villages who need to fulfill bride prices. He teased gently. But he did and he would share.

“Gifts!” Ipiktok hooted.
“Then I shall be receiving one, for this man will hunt for a bride price soon!” he boasted with a laugh. Humility was not something Ipiktok had learned, and his persona overflowed with blood hot as a young stag’s.
He sidled up beside Rodyn, as if to create space for the talk of men.
“I wish to be married soon. Anânsiak seeks names for me. Soon, there will be more Sunshine children!” he grinned, naïve to the complexities and responsibilities of relationships, marriage, or fatherhood. It was simple as 1 + 2 = 3… wasn’t it? Ipiktok, not even twenty months, had so much to learn.
“What do you think she will be like, hmm? My future wife.”

Rodyn chuckled.
Rodyn had much to share and since his own sons were off on adventures of their own. He had no one to leave this wealth too. So he might as well help secure the futures of moon children.
Ipiktok was loud and full of vigor. Rodyn would not ruin this. He had much to learn. But he would learn. And at his core he was good.
Rodyn laughed.
When you receive your names and what you shall hunt for you visit this wolf again. We will get you a gift.

Rodyn laughed.
Your grandmother will pick one that suits you well. That smooths out any rough edges and fits well in your life.

Ipiktok’s tail wagged at Rodyn’s promise. “It is a deal, then.” He vowed with an ambitious smirk.
Then, onto the talk of women…
Rodyn’s wisdom went right over Ipiktok’s head. That a woman should be complimentary to her partner was a profound thought.
“But what if I like my rough edges!” Ipiktok protested with a scoff. “She should simply be beautiful, that would be enough,” he declared with a laugh.

Rodyn chuckled. The ambition in the young was always a sight to see. He hoped that Ipitok would keep this ambition. That he would continue to do well.
Rodyn shook his head. A look of gentle bemusement on his face.

There are many ways to be beautiful you know. But I am sure you're grandmother will find you a beautiful wolfess.
