"Unfortunately," she muttered, her nose catching a multitude of scents, Caiaphas included.  The she-wolf's tang was all over these tunnels, her residence in them seemingly an extended one.  "Maybe a stronger trail.  One more recent."  She was also looking for a stronger taste of salt in the air. The caves held their fair share, but the ocean could provide a beacon as well. Her ears turned, seeking the sound of waves. Shit. Too much rock right now, and nothing but an incessant and irritating dripping from somewhere behind.

"Screw it. This way looks alright." Picking a trail, she stuck to it, nose held low to the stone beneath. "Maybe you could summon another of your brethren to help us. Rat looks like he crawled out of someplace similar." A cracked attempt at humor, but shitty humor was what she had to offer here.
