Stavanger Bay Love is just a game

Well that answered that question; Sandpiper hadn't said a word. For the first time, she felt a measure of respect for her, washing away the former quick suspicion.  She had the decency to keep it between the two of them despite the fact that she obviously had the captain's ear.

"Maybe ye should see what she thinks o him?" She proposed, though she wasn't sure what sort of relationship they had.  Did siblings talk about that sorta thing? She imagined they did but, having none she knew of, she'd never experienced it.

Now she was faced with a quandary; to lie or to tell him the truth.  Shit.  She didn't have too many issues with lying normally, but this here was her long term home hopefully, and it was a truth that would very likely come out sooner than later.  Lying would only worsen her own take.

"We haven't hit it off yet," she said somewhat vaguely, choosing to go with the 'don't worry about it' air as she glanced at him.  Truly it wasn't a whole lot for him to worry about; so long as things didn't get out of hand, they'd settle it one way or another, she was sure.
