Ahhh.  So Smokestep knew this was a wolf of his father's, and this was why he was still here.  That also somewhat explained why he'd sauntered in as if he owned the place, though it did not excuse the lack of manners.  

"So are ye a babysitter, a spy, or a guard?" She asked, surprised that Smokestep would let his father's lackey join so easily.  Though he and his sister were close; perhaps he had a good relationship with his father as well.  Wonders never ceased.  He'd really hit the jackpot on family values, hadn't he?
