She was grateful that Nieve didn't press for answers, and she nodded in obvious understanding.  She'd just said the same, had she not?  Not all wolves were made to lead, though she thought any pack with such a level head would be lucky.  Sometimes it was the ones who thought they shouldn't that made the best leaders.

I don't blame you.  But if you changed your mind, I do think you'd make a good one someday.  She said, with a small nudge.  Then she chuckled.  All of this talk is making me restless.  How'd you like a run?  She took a step or two towards the open ground, and cast a challenging look at her daughter, suddenly playful.  She was old, but not so old she'd allow her daughter to win a race easily!
