Firefly Glen Or need an escape just because

She didn't hear him at first.  She was too busy scrabbling furiously at the dirt, her breath coming in gasps while she continued to curse.  This wasn't working, so she desperately moved, climbing the collapsed pile to start digging where she remembered he'd been.  That was when her ears pricked and she heard his voice, faint, beneath the ground.  BRONCO!  It was more of a shriek than a yell, but hopefully he'd hear it, and know she was going to get him out of this.

She shoved aside loose earth and rock, sending them tumbling down the rise behind her, and set to excavating a path that led right to him.  He was alive, but how long?  How long can a body go without air before it shuts down... and every second felt too long.  

Then she hit fur.  She'd found his side and followed it, heedless of if in her digging she hit him by accident.  She didn't have any time.  I swear Bronco if you die on me I will curse you and bind your soul to a fucking pile of shit for eternity.  Fear had turned her veins to ice and might have frozen her in place if she wasn't so deep in crisis mode right now.  Not you too.  You don't get to leave too.

She got his shoulders free and that would have to be enough.  Frantically Fennec grabbed the nape of his neck and heaved, pulling with all of her might back.  She could feel him move, but not enough.  COME ON!  She shrieked again, though it was muffled by a heavy mouthful of fur.  This time she put her entire back into it, and heedles of the tears that were now streaming down her muzzle to mingle with his scruff, she managed to pull him out to sprawl across the ruined pile of earth.
