Bramblepoint So when I'm ready to be bolder

Her garden had needed some cleanup but she'd managed, over the first bit of spring, to add a few plants to the meager assembly.  Hopefully she'd be able to grow the collection over the next few weeks, in time for summer to cause things to begin to sprout and bloom.

Quick hadn't joined her but Fennec wasn't surprised.  Since the badger had taken up living in the forest he'd apparently found himself a lady.  The other badger tolerated Fennec okay when she was around but got snarly anytime the blind wolf got too near.  Fennec smirked thinking on it.  Good for him. 

She could hear Krrrk rustling in the trees above her, though, and a few others of the flock nearby.  She reached down to nose at the plant before her, shoving dirt around its base, but froze as the ground seemed to tilt momentarily beneath her feet.

She stumbled sideways a step, managed to catch herself, and then sat down heavily.  She lowered her head and found herself fighting a sudden wave of nausea.  She'd had a pretty finicky stomach when she was young, so the sensation wasn't completely new, but the added dizziness definitely was.  Had she grabbed a poisonous plant by mistake?

Shit, she cursed softly, but stayed where she was, trying to breathe slowly while she waited for it to pass.
