Rosalyn could hear her coming, but would reward the attempt with still and careful ignorance. She wanted them to feel both success and failure, and early in lessons, it felt important to encourage. Especially when she could read how hesitant her daughter was.

Studiously, she waited, only a flick of her ear betraying that she knew. Coraline would have a free shot at her side, one that Rosalyn hoped she would take, as she wished to also see the plan that the pup set in motion to overthrow her. Would she barrel in straight, or would she seek a weakness? Would she attack or would she hesitate?
