Trauma. She would forgive him for having what she felt was an irrational response. But history, she felt, would only repeat itself if another wolf fell into the bear’s path. She shuddered at the thought of seeing Njord torn apart the way Raleska had been.

If he was as mad and frantic as he was before, he could corrupt their meeting and incite panic. She would not grant him an opinion at all.
