All Welcome
time of day: late morning
weather: moderate sleet

she'd just finished digging one last cache when the wind picked up spontaneously, tousling her fur & chilling her to the bone. it seemed like a storm was brewing. she glanced up to the darkening sky & saw an amalgam of cumulonimbus clouds, confirming her suspicion. with clattering teeth, she dashed for the nearby grove of strange trees. she was already freezing, the last thing she needed was to be drenched. sleet began to pour down from the sky just as she reached the shadows of overhanging fronds. she shook out her pelt & hunkered down into a tight ball to conserve as much heat as possible, but the winter wind was unrelenting. oh, how she wished she could return home.

There was little Rosalyn could do for her family's restlessness outside of these frequent scouting trips.  She split her time between the plateau and the lands around.

Erzulie had mentioned the shore, so she came, but she'd turned her back on the sea.  The waves had cut her too many times now to devote herself to it again, and the sand beneath her paws no longer felt comforting.  It wasn't only the sleet that brought the stone to her stare, though the weather did not help.

Shit.  She shivered and glanced about for any trace of shelter.  She could turn around and head back for the cliffs, and was about to do just that, when she spotted the other wolf.

There are cliffs just north of here, she called.  She recognized the girl or she might not have bothered; a fellow Rusalkan, if not well acquainted.
