All Welcome
tagging @Khaba for Heretic as requested but AW! Please allow Khaba to post first <333

The meadow was a vast expanse of white.
She stood out upon the crispness of the cold like freshly spilled blood.
She had paused for a time here, in her journey away, away, away...From the before.

The red lady continued in her elegant stride for a brief time, glancing a few times to the Woods somewhere in the distance, then to the Mesa, which looked almost as red as her lush furs...

Wicca blinked slowly for a time, contemplating where she would go.
It was winter, after all...
She should end up somewhere, for the sake of survival.

Anywhere other than a place with lack of shelter, at the very least.

The jodai hung close to the borders today.

It was lucky he did. A figure loomed, and a little too close.

Halt, He bellowed from across the way, stance firm and tone sharp.

You walk close to the border of Akashingo. Unless you require something here, be on your way elsewhere. We do not tolerate trespassers. A simple warning, made in full detail.

Wicca heard the bellow from across the meadow.
Why, it practically boomed with how silent it was out here.
The simple warning was awarded an amused chuckle that she hid well behind a rather neutral stare and the interested tilt of her head.

"What is...Akashingo?" She asked to the man genuinely.
The cold was beginning to bite slightly at her though, and thus despite her smooth voice, she shivered a tad, attempted to shake it off with an embarrassed smile
"Apologies, I'm entirely new to the area..." She admitted, though she stayed where she was, unless he would invite her closer.

The dark furred beast did not move, nor did he invite the red woman closer.

She questioned the place he spoke of.

Of course, she would not know... but he was not so eager to explain. It would have been better for her to move along and never know, but if pharaoh had been present, failing to spread the word of his divine palace would have been frowned upon.

As if the man himself were hovering over his shoulder, offering words of reply, Khaba spoke them. Akashingo is made palace of the mesa, ruled by the divine pharaoh, a king called by some... and his shabti, queen and wife. She would not know these foreign words, so those he too must explain.

Khaba almost thought to share who he was to the mesa, but quickly decided it was not necessary until asked upon.

So from then he was silent, waiting to know if whether the woman understood.

her jodai wandered, she would not be far from him.

but she watched from the edge of akashingo. as crown prince, as soldier. a woman he encountered. large and brilliantly colored, hard to miss in the expanse of the meadow.

she would watch and she would wait.

The man spoke of a palace, lead by a Pharaoh and a Shabti.
A king and a queen, they may be called elsewhere, or so the guard said.
Her interest was piqued, and so she considered if she wanted to join such a place...
It didn't hurt to at least have a taste, did it?

"My name is Wicca...May I request an audience with your Pharaoh and Shabti?" She asked politely.
Her tone held no malice.

Only interest and perhaps even a tinge of hope.

A fade here ok? Since this isn't the right territory, they wouldn't be able to skip to the throne room. With your next post, I'll have a new thread up for us.

The woman had interest; a curiosity.

She wished an audience among the divine.

Khaba knew well, like others, that the moment she was set in the eye of the pharaoh, it was unlikely she would ever leave, whether it be her will or not. He had a way of ensnaring others.

But if this was what she wanted. So be it.

This way. The jodai turned his back to her, seeing no fault to comply with her wishes. Keep close, His last words; those of warning. Should she appear to others as anything but an allowed guest by his escort, the dark one would end up with conflict.

Then he would be silent, leading her onward towards the mesa where the palace would be.
