All Welcome
Night had long fell.

Crickets rumbled.

She walked alone along the borders of the palace from the exterior, walking over the chambers in gentle steps. Her eyes fell upon the horizon and its expanse, but they soon fell heavy. Her limbs felt light. Exhaustion had taken its toll, and little had she rested since her return. Days through the desert returned to her limbs. Her eyes.

The night felt so slow. And it spun before her vision.

Every bit of her weight came to a lean upon her right, until she tripped over on splayed legs to catch herself. Holding her head to the ground, and her ears in a droop, she scanned her nose along the sandstone. Her ears listened to the echo of the chambers below her feet. No longer could she feel herself keeping her head afloat. A deep inhale filled her lungs through her nose, and came out the same way as her chest fell. So, so dizzy, and she felt another stumble.

The night sky was endless. Around the plains and atop the mesa, no forest or mountain hindered his view of the thousands of stars shining bright in the vast darkness.

Among the dark, Legend, making enough of noise in the night as she felt exhaustion from her travels that it captures Naberius' attention.

Long legs move swiftly to investigate and soon the sand snake is near to her side for aid. While I'm sure the desert would quite enjoy another sacrifice to its sands, I don't think Akashingo is done with you just yet. He jests, with a smile and then an offering, Let me help you to water and rest from your travels.

A lord was soon by her side?

He who which she did not know. Not well. She knew his name in scent, by the sweat glands and trails through the chamber tunnels. That had been greeting enough. Though, this lord, he spun. In his nimble legs, they were blood in build to her. Yet distant. He was a fragment of the night broken away from the sky in her eyes, in that moment, in that time, as her mind clouded with haze. Heavy, heavy head. In gesture, her head swiveled, and ears fell flat to her head; her way of addressing his approach, yet she felt the sky turning her again.

Little did she know this man, and trust was fickle to put present, but little choice was growing available, and trust she would be pushed to give him with every blink of the night's souls. Another stumble, again to her right, towards his flank. Her ears came to a gentle vibrate and her chest rose low in her throat. "Yes? He is generous?" A smile, but her body clear in sickly demeanor. An unfamiliar man, but his presence was lively. Inviting. Against his swooping body and proud space, she leaned to him and offered gentle eye contact.

Her head was a heavy one, this night. Her ears pinned, perhaps to try and block out any noise in an attempts to stop the spinning. And here, Naberius was off running his mouth! He was far too well at doing so, it seemed.

Ah, that he is. A toying smile played on his lips. She sways into him, as though drunk, but hers seems one less of too much drink and more of too little. She needed not trust him so completely. They were both citizens of Akashingo and he was lord. He may have been a bit of a snake, but among the sands the snake was your neighbor.

As soft, pale eyes turned up to him, he began to guide her into the red-rock structure of home and towards the well-spring waters which flowed from the serpent lake.

Heavy. So heavy. Why must she feel strange? Her tongue plopped out to touch her nose, her head could not sit still. Her steps, they swayed. Her head touched over his neck when it could not support itself; though, she tried desperately not to do so. It happened regardless, as if a pillar was required was required to keep her steady. His voice was polished. It felt sickly in her stomach, yet almost any other may have made her vomit.

Lord had been her only option; though, he was not her serpent.

When darkness slipped over them and their heads were covered, her faint head hovered the ground again. Her eyes, while they felt as if they were moving and the walls told her that they were turning, had not seen this path. They had not seen this passage. "Where- he take me?" Where he take me..where he take me..where he take me.. To Khaba's six foot lady pit? No. Not there. Did this lead to the high point? No, she felt her paws going down. To lord, to neb, she gave him a quick glance before her gaze hit the floor again.

He was lord, and little would she look. The world was spinning, and little would she look.

Neb was help though, and he did not cross the type to be spiteful of eye contact. Not that she found herself able to give it, if by force from her body.

She used his body to keep herself afloat, seeming as though she was almost swaying in and out of consciousness. He allowed it. After all, he enjoyed the company of others deeply and she was a woman in need. She, too, he may one day find, craved attention all the same.

After a time, she speaks up, looking to him with confusing wonder. He takes you to the well-spring. The waters are cool and clear. They were almost there. He did not know if she had traveled to this part of their chambers. It was situated not far from the fellahin's quarters. He figured even in the darkness, within the mesa was cooler and so were the water, plus having been filtered through the rocks making it more crisp and clean then out in the baking heat. Maybe one of the fellahin would offer her a place to rest in their hollows for the night, too.

He was a man who was there when no other came.

"Oh," she responded slowly, a voice seeping with that same confusion and traveling wonder. "Then, he is savior?" she asked, her head coming to a tilt in his direction, and a smile of toying demure. A man so helpful, and she in need that she did not want. Akashingo surfaced Soon the scent of water loved against her nose. Down to the ground she fumbled, elbows plopped out to the sides and her stomach pressed against the floor. Sloppy down! Sloppy rest! To make up for it, her tail tried to curl itself around her hind leg, and she did so tightly. Her head leaned down towards the water, her nose crossing over the top of it and dampening her lips. Legend wished not to drink if she was not supposed to do so, but then her tongue started swiping back and forth quicker than she was aware she could do. Then, the panting came. Quick, fastened breaths and a rising, falling chest and back as her ear's stayed deflated. Legend was immortal, until she wasn't.

And for a moment, she found it odd, that Prince had not came. Though, she did not expect it. Never would she expect. But there was Lord.

Savior? A 'hmmmm' passes his lips and he chuckles at the thought.

She fell down then into a lazy lay on the cool red rock of the mesa floor and quickly begins to drink and then so pants for air when she had drank too much too quickly. Easy there, little crow... He purrs.

Naberius remains to stand at her side, head lifted high and his tail rigid behind him as his eyes scan the area. He barks out to any who might come, to give rest to this woman for the night. He did not think she wished to lay with a strange man in his quarters, especially so in her weakened state. Lord or not.

Pant. Pant. Pant, pant, pant, pant, pant, pant, pant! Why? Why! Why, she did not feel like this during her desert trample-- why did it come now? The more she crossed over reasons, the more her head spun in circles. Her back left foot thumped against the ground as her ears fell limp, her nose tiptoeing across the water and giving it gentle kisses. Her nose felt all runny, and she concluded that the water had not been the cause of that sensation. Her tongue flopped out to grab from the wellspring, only to pull back in and flick her top lip along the way. Eventually, her tongue lolled.

Then, her eyes touched shakily to Naberius. Pant. Pant, pant, pant. It would take a shit ton more than this to kill her, but her ears nearly vibrated as they thought of another possibility. She had been pretty sure it was exhaustion, until a not-so-joking thought jumped leagues across her mind. In a coy and half-trying smile on her lips, she muffled back a whine from the nausea that started to couple with her dizziness. "Neb? Lord, there's no-- Poison? Bbweh." It seemed she was unable to hold that cheeky grin, as it fell short when her tongue flopped back out again to pant.

She was pretty sure she was joking.
What if she wasn't.

She was a strange little crow, that much was certain. Though Naberius could only assume that it was from the exhaustion and dizziness of her brain. She perhaps had been on the verge of a heat stroke- or had one, for all he knew. Naberius had trained in sparring and navigation, but he was by far any healer- nor a priestess. He did not know how to mend the woman's body nor mind.

No, no poison. He smiles cheekily as she heavily pants with a hope of regaining her composure. Lay down, would you? He paws at the cool earth near the water's edge. Would you like for me to send one of the fellahin to look after you tonight?

"No!-" her voice stumbled quickly, gently, a whine at her own confusion, "nno. I good." With a frown, she kicked her back feet to try and push herself closer to the water, quickly denying the need of help. Perfectly fine! She was perfectly fine!

Legend was also, on that note, pretty sure she was dying, and even more sure that Ra had waited to do his number on her until she wasn't expecting it. The room was plenty spinny, and she was also positive that 'help' was scary, when she could hardly control her own body. That helpless feeling was horribly unsettling! Her heart went boom, boom, boom. But there was this man, and he had helped her. Her respects were wobbled out.
"Thank you, sir"

Okay to fade here or your next post?

Naberius could not help but to smirk at her retort, refusing to give up and give in even as she moved about like a newborn deer. If you say so... He muses, leaning back on his toes to watch and after a time, settling into a lay himself instead.

If anything, he would stay with her for a time, until tiredness had worn her down into slumber. What had she just said to him? He hadn't a clue.

Perfect fade! tysm<3

She would not sleep.
She would not sleep.
She would not sleep.
She would not sleep.
She slept.

Far too empty minded was she to uphold the native common-speak; though, it had not been tiredness that made her mind rest. It had also not been a choice, when her eyes rolled to an uncomfortable close. It did not feel safe, when she did not know where she was, with who, and why.
Naberius was lucky that when she knocked out she wasn't dead, or else he'd have had a really cool, but nasty case for being a suspicious murder suspect.
