her mourning was not quiet. it was loud and long and wailing, heartbroken songs some days and incoherent sobs the others. but it was not only the death of Pharaoh that she lamented. Toula was of the mind that @Treva would never have left her, if living! and certainly never now, of all times!
Toula had not yet dared to ask for a tomb. there was no body to place away; Toula knew, though, that Iset or perhaps even Tawaret, would have sent her to Her father in the afterlife. this thought gave her peace. but something must be done for her, too! in time, she would see it so.
for now, she traveled across the lands with slow, confident steps. the snakes danced forth from their warm homes as though to bear witness, and one she let crawl up the length of her foreleg with a smile.
it did not seem bothered by her walking. Toula stood outside the grand place and bowed her head before the departed Shabti, now also in the land of Reeds with her Father.
she placed a blessed fur as an offering before a grand pillar. look after Them, she willed, the Shabti to her now some integral part of the afterlife. the snake writhed around her throat, and soon wrapped around her head as a crown. it was not crowns she thought of, though, but of what the snake might mean; no ill omen, to be sure! the Amiirad lowered her head to the earth in a bow, and the snake slithered away.
your daughters remember you; We will never forget. for you, and for our father, We rise. may We make you proud, and if I do not, guide me, please!
she lingered for only a little while longer, before she turns to visit Iset next.
