Hideaway Strath She thinks she's mine, she must be out of her mind

Steadfast and ever present, determined and hellbent to get to her peak capabilities, the Harbinger summoned for her Grandmaster. It was a chilly yet beautiful night, cast in moonlight with no clouds.

The night is beautiful and he’s settles snuggly — or as snugly as one can get — beside the ravine he’s been keeping @Simmik in when his harbingers call rings out to him. Sitting his head up, he looks around and stands. Offering one look to his angry little waifu, he runs to meet Nyra wherever she might be on this beautiful night. 

Once arrived, he pants easily. He already knows what she wants. “A beautiful night for a spar, Nyra.” He hums, borderline teasingly. “Let’s get started then shall we?” He says, readying himself for battle and awaiting her first hit.

She smiles at his words when he arrives, giving a curt nod before she charges.
Another chest-reigon hit was what she was going for, but the grass...or snow, who knew, is slippery, and thus she slid at just the right angle where she thwacked him in the sternum, but didn't really do much else as she landed almost belly-up at his forelegs. 

Oh no

He knew her attack would be strong, until it seems like she cocked it all up be slipping. Her footing gone to the wind, he snaps out at her from his widened defensive stance. Reaching down to bite greedily at her chest and neck. Only to try and quickly hop away if possible, going back on the defense.

She takes his biting like a champ, but at the sudden assault, she is left doing nothing else but feeling his teeth as she pushes and tries to kick against his bites. 

Big ol' meenie.

Donovan is, for a lack of better words, a big ol’ meanie. The moment he witnesses her defenses lower, he’s on her. Caution to the wind he’s back on her with a quick movement of huge, your dexterous, paws. 

She is nothing to match him in this moment and is only able to kick out in a weak attempt to get him off. He gives her no such victory, only moving so that he is on top of her and biting at her once more. His body weight able to hold her down well enough to allow him to continue to snatch at her neck and chest.

Nyra snarls, teeth fully bared as she writhes, squirms, snaps and kicks without thought. Wherever she hits, or even if she hits at all, it's more or less a defensive assault laced with barely controlled panic as she once again recalls her own father pinning her similarity. 

Somehow though, she tries to keep a mask of fury instead of fear.

He shifts his weight on top of her so that she can’t bite him as readily. Defense is hard from this position yet he manages, planting his body heavily onto her own to prevent her from kicking him as hard. Yet, as soon as he feels the air change into hardly contained panic he squints his eyes. 

Moving off of her in a swift hop, he leans his head down to look to her. “Are you alright?” He asks lowly. Concluding the spar as a truce for now.

As he further pins her at first, she begins to tremble as she thrashes and snaps.

Then he's off and asking if she's okay.

Whirling to her paws, Nyra takes a minute to breathe and cool back down before she answers.
"I'm fine." She chokes the words past the fight against tears. She's never had this issue with him before. 
Why now? 
She didn't know. But eventually she spills and tells him about her real past that she recalled back in Blackfeather Woods - the cult, her batshit insane abusive father, the slaughter she found, how she ran away.

By the end she's crying without the sobs, and yet her voice still shakes some.

His mind is reeling as she spills the gruesome details of her past. Moving to stay closer beside her as a more solid presence. Then her tears spill and he is mildly shocked. The oh so impressive Nyra reduced to tears. Yet he’s quick to comfort, moving a paw to her back as he noses her cheek softly. A soft but silent reminder that she’s in the present and not the past and that everything will be fine. 

“It’s alright, dear.” He hums quickly from beside her. Resting his chin on her neck. “You’re in a better place now.”

She leans and weaves into his embrace, welcoming the comfort. Gaining her bearings again, she sighs with clear relief, offering him a soft yet grateful nuzzle into his throat with her cheek 
"Thank you." She whispers, leaning into him some as the completed wolf version of a hug.
