Dragoncrest Cliffs But I am still new at getting old

It was a sick sort of irony that now that she had nothing else to do, she could not sleep.  Her mindset cycled between fury and despair, and she'd already taken a lot of her rage out verbally on the wolves set to guard her.  

Right now, despair.  The sun had set and night washed over the shore, but she sat hunched, staring out over the waves.  This was the longest she'd gone without Erzulie's presence in a long while, and it was the company of her lover that she missed most.  Damn Caiaphas and her wolves, damn Drageda, damn all of them.  Rosalyn would tear to pieces anything that took from her the one thing she had to lose.

First she would heal.  Then she would work.  Every pack had fractures, imperfections that when found could split to the core.  It had been a long while since she'd plied her trade, but she still remembered the tricks and hopefully would not be too rusty.  She would find the imperfections and weaknesses and use them to break from this place.
