Perhaps this had been a bad idea.  Strained by loss, pressed by guilt, and made irritable by the weight of it all.  If a pack had been here, or nearby, would she have even been in a space to quell them?  Or would they have entered a war now, just based on her manner?

Rosalyn breathed out and tried to still herself.  Perhaps this woman had information that might prove valuable then, if her interest lay in the locals.  Are there many that reside around these cliffs? she asked, though first and foremost another question rose.  And have you seen a boy?  Yet something stayed her tongue right now.  She wanted a measure of this loner before she revealed their search.
