That morning, when she could not find Mireille, Rosalyn wondered if she was at home. Or if, perhaps, the witch had taken her somewhere. A daughter for a daughter.

It might have been a macab thought if it accused the witch as she was today, but instead, Rosalyn was caught with the notion that the Sound still persisted. At the present, for her, Caiaphas still lived... and so, with purpose that belied the slightly distant look in her eyes, she began to stride southward towards the Sound's descent.

Trouble always follows her. She needed to retrieve Mireille before it was too late, and the witch would know to stay away. Firmly stuck in a past that was now years prior, she prepared to confront the woman who was little more than a ghost.
