To try, that was enough. In a silent prayer, Eset promised the same, and hoped in time this restlessness she senses within Racharra, the same one she felt tested her own spirit, would ease.

Her muscles ached and her mind was tired, but she held the girl tightly still, reluctant to let go.

the girl lingers there. she too refuses to let go. but time is cruel, and it marches on no matter what.

eventually, racharra breaks away first. though she lingers in the chamber, after a silent prayer to a god she had yet to decide.
if only my heart were as cold as i pretend it is.
