All Welcome
Tierra eventually found her way back to the party, but by the time she did, the ritual had come and gone.  She didn't know where anyone she knew was but she immediately drew herself towards the fermented fruits once more.  She loved the way it made her forget that anyone else existed.  And she loved the way it melted all of the usual brain-stuff so that all she had to do was be here.

She wouldn't remember any of the next bit of the party.  It was likely winding down, but before a servant could catch her and push her towards a room, she was stumbling blindly outside to throw up wherever was easiest.

She wouldn't make it back in.  The cooler air felt too good - she felt like she was burning up.  Tierra crawled away and then collapsed, gratefully, near the base of a stunted tree.  She would proceed to pass out there, completely oblivious to how such a thing might look in the morning.

late in the night or early morning, feel free to decide <3

The nosemaking and merriment was not what Medusa had grown accustomed to. The most interesting part of the evening to her had been the tributes and the calling to Gods... names she had heard, but none that she had paid attention to very well before now. She shared with @Midas all that she saw. All of it was overwhelming, and before long she and Midas once again made way to the shadows. It was from there Medusa watched, far more comfortable not being seen. She searched for @Jakoul or for @Gucci but with so many faces, even those best known to her could not be found in the sea of strangers.

Leaning against her brother, when things grew a little quieter she determined it a better time to explore. Medusa did not know what she would have done had she lost Midas within all of this. He was a buoy to her, keeping her afloat. Medusa felt confident that now, at least, they would be able to find one another if separated. She did her best to make sure this did not occur, keeping her flank against his own.

Outside into the cool air did she head. Her brain hurt, though not from consumption. Too many faces, too many words--more socialization, even from a distance, that she was accustomed to.

And that twas when she came across a body. It might as well of been her without eyesight, so close did she come to tripping over them. Medusa stared at the other, asking, another sacrifice...? with a tilt of her head. It had been interesting what the one amiirad had done. Was this her work, too?

Did Gods need that much blood?

...There was none of that here. Medusa blinked several times, not really knowing what to do, and letting out a contemplative hmmmm... while she thought about it.

Sybol had a hard time keeping track of Tierra, he caught a glimpse of what he thought to be her rear stumbling out the door. He quickly raced after her, stumbling plenty himself. He lost sight of her and tried began to follow her scent, he eventually made it outside. He ran straight into the throw up, slipping and sliding until he'd eventually fall on top of Tierra.

Aquene had attempted to keep a close eye on her delegation, but the conversation with Ramesses had drawn her attention, and in the mess, she had lost track of Tierra… which was… well, not as fortunate. She had been the one enjoying herself the most it seemed, not that the Matrona thought that there was anything wrong with that in particular… still, it was her making her way outside for some fresh air to be greeted by the stench of vomit and one of Mereo’s warriors passed out on the floor that brought a frown to her features, a soft sigh breaking.

She would move over to the woman just in time to see Sybol slipping on the mess in order to fall on top of the woman, a soft snort as she moved over to them both. She’d take her nose to give the girl a bump, feeling her temperature to see if an illness had caused such things though truly she was certain that it had not. “Overindulged, did we, Tierra?” She would ask before glancing at Sybol. “I recommend washing your paws off… the scent will be hard to get out after awhile, Sybol.”

It was then that she noticed the child, a soft and maternal smile finding her features. “I am afraid this one is not a sacrifice, little one, but a warrior who enjoyed the party a bit too much last night.”

Tierra was out. She slept like the dead and didn't notice when a pup approached, or even when Sybol landed on her. It was probably one of the best sleeps she'd had in a while, actually, and looked to be headed towards one of the worst mornings. If she thought she was sick last night? Oh buddy.

It was finally the conversation around her that invaded the quiet. She woke up slowly, letting out a groan before she'd fully realized she wasn't asleep yet. Her head was killing her and the voices weren't helping. Why was there noise?

She was absolutely dying. There was no other explanation. Something was on top of her, she didn't know what, but between her stomach and her head that was fine. She didn't think she wanted to try getting up anyway.

Medusa started when the first wolf came upon the scene like a proverbial wrecking ball. Not expecting that, she stared with the alarum of an offended feral cat, hackles spiked upward and gaze shifting from wide to narrow. Medusa did not like being caught off guard, but she was once again when another came to the scene. She spun around on her heel, only to be confronted by a large (well, compared to the leggier but not yet tall three month old at least) dark she-wolf.

Though esteemed a royal by the family, Medusa did not pay much attention to the lessons on decorum, which were a bore to her. She sorely regretted it now, because there was no recovering her dignity from the surprise plainly written across her face for the second time.

She had been too fascinated by the prospect of poking a stick (read: her paw) against the corpse (read: the actually very alive Tierra).

Almost disappointed that the wolf was not a sacrifice, there was also a hint of relief there. The groaning sounded like someone was dying, though. Are you sure? she asked, not to disrespect but because... well... the way Tierra looked and sounded... Medusa was not convinced.

The Princess Toula is very young, but... has begun her medical training. Perhaps she can give something to her, she suggested, part of her wanting to see this all go awry, or else she might have suggested the older, and more knowledgeable, Tavina who taught them. But at least she did not offer herself!

The better part of her, it seemed.

And if it went well, was that not all the better for the court anyway?

If it went wrong... who could blame a child? Herself, or Toula?

Completely unaware of any additional company, Sybol had enjoyed his resting place, if not the circumstances that had led him to land atop her. He resisted the urge to poke her with his sodden paws. It was then that Aquene approached, and his face heated. He rolled off Tierra and grinned sheepishly. Hi, right, of course. It was then he noticed the girl. Sorry if I startled you, my names Sybol. His enthusiasm returned quickly. His joy for life ignited that much more by the 'party foods' in his body.

Aquene frowned when the child continued, humming softly as she nodded. “I’m sure this would be an excellent learning experience for the Princess… I myself am a healer, well-versed in the healing arts.” Some tallow would help, along with greasy foods like duck and plenty of water to assist… but she was not certain she would offer it up. In some ways, it felt like a disservice because no doubt this would serve as a lesson in restraint to the woman; she was certain that Germanicus would approve as well.

Sybol spoke next and she smiled at him as he introduced himself before moving over to Tierra. “Tierra, are you awake?” She asked as she nudged her cheek with her paw, attempting to raise some kind of reaction from her so she could properly gauge just how horrific her hangover was. Aquene expected it was pretty bad based on the accounts she had received from Reyson the night before about Tierra and her indulgences… still, it was a party, and Aquene was not the one of the leading duo who would damper their fun.

She was just the one who would make them live with the consequences of too much fun.

She'd never wanted a (metaphorical) pillow so badly, to either shove over her head or throw at them for being so loud. She was too busy wishing they'd leave to listen to anything they were actually saying.

She shifted when Aquene prodded at her, waving a paw blearily at her. Noo. She grumbled, then covered her face. She was totally trying to sleep but it seemed like they didn't want to let her. If it wasn't super gross she might let herself throw up on them. It'd serve them right, keeping her up when she was obviously sick!

It appeared that Tierra did not wish to wake, even protesting which admittedly brought the matriarch a sense of amusement. “Come on, the more you give into the tired the worse it will get… some with me, I have some medicines that will help.” While normally she would love to let the girl suffer a bit to learn her lesson, they were representing Mereo and she needed to get the girl cleaned up…

She could only imagine what Germancius might say to both of them if he ever found out about this – luckily, this would be their little secret. “Don’t worry, I’m not the Imperator… still, a little restraint next time might do you some wonders.”
