Stavanger Bay Love is just a game

"Ah.  Yes."  That had been her name. Rosalyn wasn't the best at remembering such things, especially in situations like they had met in.  But she did not reveal this; she wondered if Sandpiper had said anything to Smokestep about her.  The thought set a shiver of indignation through her.  She had better not be whispering lies to the Captain.  Would be a shame to have her repotoire with him tarnished by a biddy who couldn't keep her mouth shut.

"Does he now?"  She responded, interested despite herself.  Complicated times two if Raptor returned the feelings.  That would be both leaders slanted strongly against her corner.   "I should think you'd be delighted.  You're friends, yes?"  She canted her head curiously.  His end comment caused her smile to grow a tidge, though she merely waited rather than responding.  These were dangerous waters, and she knew his type.  The stupid could be pulled under, but she was well adept at keeping her head above the waves.
