No matter what had happened, he was family, and had never done anything to hurt her or her littermates. Leaving had perhaps been unwise, but, then, she'd left too, right?

Once all farewells were made, Maegi flashed her eyes toward her dark brother, inviting him to walk along with her. She'd begin a patrol along the border, marking sternly as she went. No doubt visitors from the past (with good intentions) were welcome, but this was her home. This was their home.
