The vision in her singular eye flashed as she impacted and, in an eerie repeat of their last encounter, sound went muffled.  She was prone for a moment, but despite her senses being scattered instinct drove her to rise and stumble unsteadily away.

She did not see the bear fall, nor Kaertok's sacrifice.  But when she looked and at length was able to parse what she saw, both were dead in the snow.

She should check on the others.  She should attend the bodies, draw the pack together, help to heal what she could.  Instead she stood trembling, unable to bring herself to function for any of it right now.

When others arrived she would suggest a burial place, but at the moment, she did not have the wherewithall to take the helm.
