she had missed him. Sayf had been someone with her family for as long as Toula could remember—and to see him at the borders, thin and unkempt, caused her pain. she had thought he had gone to aid in the departure of Medusa, gone to train with priests and priestesses—but it was apparent that somewhere along the way, he had separated from them all. 
the Pharaoh would not be stopped as she moved toward him, all concern and worry as she observed him. you are home, she soothed, and bid he enter with a gentle gesture. come—we will get you fed and bathed! and you will tell me of your journey, she breathes, offering him room to speak what he would… what he could. no anger at all in her, knowing again only relief that he had found his way back to her. to them!
