Just as Kotake was entering the glen, Maegi was chasing a moth. Not skillfully, mind you--the poor girl would never make a good hunter, because of her bad foot--but what she lacked in skill, she made up with enthusiasm. Giggling and tumbling over herself, she watched as the moth outkicked her and flew into the forest, one of the last holdouts before winter began in earnest.

Her ears pricked, then, as she heard footsteps at the edge of the clearing. In came a black female, who looked a lot like Koume--she even had the bicolored eyes!--and a little bit even like the friendly dark girl who had played with Maegi that one fine day. In her jaws was a hare, and Maegi's excitement to see a new face grew even more as her belly rumbled with sudden hunger.

It hit her, then, that she did know this girl: she had been in the clearing when Neo came to visit. She was a sister! Maegi's black lips drew wide in a grin as she rushed up to Kotake. "Hi," she squeaked, looking around to see if @Euron or  @Ramsay were nearby.
