All Welcome
@Mira had turned up missing. It was an unsettling thing to realize and scouring the mountain had turned up no trace of her other than one that led straight past the borders. He and @Hydra both had wasted no time in setting off to search for her, leaving @Vega to stay with the younger lot that hadn’t gone astray. The others were informed loosely as he came across or called for them; he knew that @Atlas and @Osiris would keep an eye on the borders, and thought perhaps @Antares would conduct his own search where he could.

Evening was setting in by the time they had reached the glen, opting to split off and search different parts of the glen. She went with @Lyra and he had summoned @Keres to him. Dirge did not play the part of frantic father in the slightest, instead approaching the crisis at hand with composure that surprised him. But the stoicism was absent in his actions and features, a stern glower set on him that could not hide the concern.

There were many scents here, some he recognized, but just as many he did not. The glen was their hunting grounds, true, but also just beyond the scope of what they could actively manage full time. At least for now—if anything this reinforced the necessity in having Osiris take the glen.

“She has to be here, somewhere,” he found himself murmuring, scarcely above a whisper.

Of course she is, The silvered woman would murmur in reply, her tone confident and sure. They would find Mira; even if she had to traverse all over Tartarus' half acre, she would make sure that the girl was recovered. Nudging Dirge's shoulder with a gentle press of her nose, Keres attempted reassurance. Even if the gesture provided little comfort, it was still a gesture of solidarity. She was here, now, and they would weather this new storm together.

Again, the female wondered if the gods had something against this region, to provide such misfortune so soon after the last.

Peeling away a bit, Keres sniffed at the borders, pausing here and there to process each scent as they went, searching the glen for any sort of clue as to where the child could be.

"We will find her." Desdemona appeared with a strong voice. A child, Hydra and Dirge's had gone missing. She could only blame two forces at hands in the wilds; The Saints, and Ursus. However at the same time it could be a simple stranger that perhaps wisked away the child. They could all only hope Mira simply wandered too far.

"I'll search beyond." Since she already went across, the guard had familarity to the land further away from Moonspear.

Her touch was reassuring, though he would not admit to the darker thoughts that came to him. It was a sentiment echoed in the thoughts of Desdemona too and perhaps them all, knowing there were far greater and darker things in the world that were always at play. It seemed all too real that there was a possibility she had been snatched up by the mysterious Blackbird, but there were no traces that would have suggested it. No signs of blood had come up either, which could have bode well.

It should have, anyway, though as he stepped ahead to begin their search in full he did not find comfort in his usual fare of logic. The glen was a vast place, diverse enough that there were truly any number of places that Mira could hide away if she chose to. He did not believe she was arrogant enough to pull such a stunt, and as he turned towards the east, he also did not believe that she would be as foolish to do such a thing. It wasn’t worth receiving the ire of either parent, however temporary.

“There’s a canyon of sorts ahead,” he said, finding his composure once again. A firmer tone bordering instruction though his companions were hastened to him regardless. “Hydra and I went through it once before but it might be worth searching again.” She could have found a cavern, or fallen in a ravine for all he knew. She could have been simply playing along the foothills that enveloped that canyon too—he did not like the possibilities laid before them.

For as much as he liked to roam, this was not how he wanted to do it.

Desdemona's confidence was acknowledged with a nod and a fierce, stubborn reply of We will. There was no mistake. One way or another, the wolves of Moonspear would make such things happen by sheer force of will. Though Dirge did not allude to his anxieties, the silver-dressed female could handily guess at them; the chance that a loved one was gone from you, possibly forever, was all-consuming. Add that to the grief that loomed over like a monster ready to descend and it was a surefire spell for depression.

We can head that way, or cover new ground. Or both. There's three of us, so we can fan out and see what we find. Three wolves searching in the same spot wouldn't do much, if anything. This would at least give them all something to put their minds to and better aid in the search.

"She should not have gotten too far- regardless who with." The implication was simple, but not said out loud. There was always a possibility that the child had been kidnapped, but regardless of that factor, they could not have travelled too far. As one of Hydra's offspring, Desdemona could only imagine how wild Mira might be.

"Split up?" The guard turned toward Keres as she suggested so.

He wanted to contest. Knowing his own nature and how that could have easily passed to his children despite his better efforts, there was always that possibility that Mira could have gotten far enough away to be somewhat out of their reach. He had been prone to wandering young, though his birthplace was far more tempered than that of their present locale. It too had been wild and unforgiving, but there had been relative safety to it, or so he thought in recollection.

Of course naturally, that wandering had always set worry in for his mother, as it should have.

He drew his gaze between the two instead, briefly debating their options.

“Pick a direction then,” he decided, “it’s probably best if we do split up to cover more ground.” Though his tone lacked the urgency to do so quickly, the intent was in his gilded gaze even though he knew that they wouldn’t be indecisive. He could scout through the canyon ahead for any trace of her there, just as much as he could pick any part of the glen at that point.

The look in Dirge's eyes was not missed. In this moment, it seemed that he needed someone else to issue directions, and as his blood Keres would shoulder that weight with no complaint. Right. Covering the glen again right now isn't a good idea. We need to fan out but stay in sight or howling distance of each other. While the silvered female had never been a leader, she had been a mother and it was that mantle she donned now.

She looked to the guardian then, a gentle but firm tone and gaze accompanying her words. Head Northeast. Dirge will move North, and I'll veer west of him. Send up a call if you find anything of importance. Perhaps she will hear us as we search, as well.

Desdemona had no qualms about being ordered around- as she felt she was, a Moonspear tool. Even though Keres was rather unknown to her, and supposedly below as well. Nonetheless, she nodded politely, no words to be said, and decided to head toward the direction.

The guard could only hope Mira would be found soon.

Perhaps not as surprising as it was, Keres took point and decision away from him. He did not contest this or her objection, but was instead rather resigned to the fact that he was powerless to find Mira in an instant. It was a break in his usual composure, an unsettling thing that he did not enjoy displaying even in the company of those he had trust in. Hydra was one thing; there were few things that he could hide from her it seemed, though he had for some time in regards to his own lineage. And for what? Naught. It hadn’t mattered in the end.

Only this mattered right now; he cared little for what else could come about.

Silently like Desdemona, he set off after brief acknowledgment to their plan.

The northern path was not as well worn in, but he could see the allure it may have had to a wayward child. Tall grasses that bowed at either side of him as he passed; Dirge imagined at night that the fireflies, had they still been out so late in the season, would have seemed magical. Captivating, like a lure, he could not avoid the imaginative thought of Mira following them well past dusk and into the night until they faded away.

And like the shade that she was, like her brothers, she would have been discreet as possible.

His nose to the ground, he tried to pick up her trail.

Instructions given and accepted, Keres would watch and wait as the two split away from her to search for the child. It was with a resolute seriousness that the silver woman turned to do exactly what she had said she would, setting her nose to the ground and hoping to find some sort of indication of the wayward pup. Unfortunately, they would return home empty-pawed this night, though Miwa would eventually return to the borders of the mountain pack with a head in tow.
