Crowfeather enjoyed the company that Faun offered him. She was soft with her words, polite. She followed him and became enthralled with the herbs that he revealed. The more excitement she felt for their stocks, the more the shadow came to life. He smiled openly, happy that she would find joy in the greenery that filled their hollow home.

He knew of the perfect place in their territory, a fallen log that had hollowed out into a tunnel. It led into a large hole in the ground.
