it was the last day of her season; she could feel it ebbing inside of her, replaced by only a feeling of calm and warmth when she thought of caracal. 
it was for him she came now, though as she appeared and caught sight of another woman, something churned within her. but that was his cousin!

her golden eyes traced him, wondering; she stepped forward with a gentle smile. "you've traveled a long way."
