All Welcome
If litter mates would like some 1 week potato time, here you go! Older sibs also welcome of course. :D

Ramsay may not have had much going for him in life, but one thing he did have was his sense of touch. In fact, at the tender age of one week old, Ramsay was very tactile indeed. It hadn't taken him long to get the lay of the land just by bumping into things with his pugged nose or his weak limbs, and soon enough he was crawling around the limited confines of the whelping den like a champ. Though he certainly looked strange with his truncated spine and his head connected almost directly to his shoulders, Ramsay was showing some promise, and an inability to bob or swivel his head meant his forelimbs were already growing strong.

Most days were a struggle, though. The newborns were cared for and fed according to some unknown internal schedule, but it wasn't as frequent as a newborn whose mother didn't detest them. In fact, it seemed as if Potema took every opportunity to pretend her litter didn't exist at all. Several other wolves ensured she didn't let them starve to death, but even so, she wasn't as doting or willing to feed them as a mother who loved her offspring, so Ramsay was almost always searching for more food. He was doing exactly that at present, throwing out squeaks that ought to summon a caring mother to her babies every few seconds as he pulled himself slowly along with his flailing legs.

Life wasn't so terrible, once they had gotten past the initial bump in the road--well, that bump being a pretty significant one, seeing as how Potema had ordered her brother to kill her own children.

But Maegi didn't know any of that. All she knew was the blind, relentless search for nourishment. And for the most part, she was satisfied. The little girl was growing day by day, becoming more aware of her surroundings as she explored the whelping den.

She had deduced that she had two other siblings, sightless blobs in the dark beside her. She was vaguely aware of having more companions. . .where they had gone, she did not know. The remaining trio was going strong, though, and as long as Maegi had food in her belly and stayed warm, there were no complaints from the tiny babe.

There were others in the den, too, every once in a while; she felt their pawsteps vibrating on the stone floor, felt their larger presence nearby. But without sight nor sound, nor really a sense of smell, Maegi was stuck in the darkness. For now.

He was a discontent pup. He never felt satiated even when he managed once to feed enough to distend his small stomach. Because it was not more milk he required. It was some other indescribable need that led him to squeak and whimper often, and that drove him to crawl and squirm around in a futile search whenever he was not sleeping.

He was his most content he felt his siblings around him. He was therefore sensitive to their movements, and their absences most. So when his brother wandered off, Euron woke and called for him a three-note whimper as his nose probed the darkness hoping to bump into him. His legs drew him forwards until his brother’s tail flicked across his snout, which he captured between his gums and mouthed and even suckled by reflex.

In response to finding his littermate, his own tail twitched rapidly across the den floor, and he serenade Ramsay with muffled squeaks.

Though he squealed for attention, none was forthcoming, and Ramsay soon abandoned his pursuit. Utilizing what little spatial awareness he had, the dwarf turned himself around (only about half a circle, woe was him) and headed back in the direction of his siblings. He didn't end up in the same place alongside Euron, though. Only when he had clambered up across Maegi's flank did he realize she was the other one from the faint not-Euron smell of her, and with another squawk, he shoved his nose into the nape of her neck, committing that smell to his ever growing memory.

The stunted boy likely would have stayed right there if not for the sudden clamp of harmless gums upon his equally stunted tail. Ramsay froze in place, face twisted into an uncertain expression. There was something about the sensation that was nice, like kneading his paws upon his unwilling mother's belly, but there was something unpleasant about it as well. In the end, unpleasantness won out. Ramsay pressed one of his soft paws down on his sister's head with a wail as he tried to turn on top of her to reach Euron, but owing partly to newborn clumsiness and partly to his own special inflexibility, he only succeeded in toppling off Maegi and onto his brother's head.

Maegi was halfway to a peaceful afternoon doze when a weight rested heavily against her, followed by a questing snout into her neck. She let out a surprised squeak that quickly turned indignant as her brother--the smaller one, she thought--pressed hard on her head with one paw, clearly bothered by something.

Shook from her reverie, the little girl yelped and rolled away from the fray, face scrunched as she tried to figure out what was going on. Further exploration, whilst dodging flailing paws, found that it was the beginnings of a wrestling match between the two boys. With a squeal that almost resembled a giggle, she joined in, her tiny paws batting blindly at the writhing balls of downy fur.

Euron made a peep when his brother's tail was snatched free of his chomping jaws. He reached out for it again but was greeted not with a furry thing to suck on and gum, but a sudden wriggling pressure on his head as Quasimodo wound up on top of it. Then there was the lighter but more deliberate touches of his sister's paws. Mmpf. Euron grunted, and tried to bounce Ramsay off his head but his neck just did not have enough muscle yet for that task. So his forepaws came to his rescue. They shoved into his brother and, with effort, he was able to yank his head free.

Call it payback or call it a pup's next mindless action, Euron then clamped his mouth onto his brother's nose. He didn't quite get the seal on it that he had on the tail, and so the suckling reflex was replaced with an inquisitive tongue that had no shame about invading his brother's nostril.

Things were happening far too quickly for a blind and deaf puppy to comprehend, and Ramsay wailed reflexively. He didn't have the words to tell the world to slow down, but that was all he wanted, damnit! Before he knew it, he was falling again, turning in place as the warm lump he laid on pulled away from under him. He got several feet in the face—he couldn't know whose feet, only that they smarted—and just as he tried to turn his stumpy body around, something wet and warm closed over his face.

Squealing, Ramsay bunched his shoulders up against his ears and attempted to pull away from Euron. His younger brother was larger than him though, and furthermore, Maegi had him boxed in from behind. He struggled momentarily, then gave up, sinking down as far as he possibly could while whimpering pathetically against his siblings' "assault".

Sneaking in a last post here since the pups are growing like garden (of evil) weeds. :)

Ramsay struggled to pull away from Euron, whose energy had quickly waned into a laziness that could not be bothered to try to keep a latch on his brother's nose. His toothless mouth fell away from the darker pup's snout and his chin dropped to the ground accompanied by a soft peep. The last born yawned, and decided right there that it was nap time. He inched forward just enough that his nose butted into Maegi, and, soothed by her presence and Ramsay's too, he slept.

For a short time after the assault, Ramsay struggled to put some distance between himself and his siblings, but it was mostly futile. He managed to inch away from Maegi long enough for Euron to give up his offensive, and once the inkblot was well and away from them—though he missed them immediately—he too fell quickly asleep.

Sorry to skip, closing out Ramsay's involvement here to make room for more current threads.
