The snow had arrived and it hadn't stopped snowing since it started. Luckily today it was only a light snow compared to the heavier storms. Arlette wanted to find @Lestan to ask him how things were going. She had been curious if the medication had been helping. If not then she might need to change tactics.

The woman first checked if Lestan was inside the territory, when she found a fresh scent she decided to pursue it. She howled to let him know she wanted to meet up, that probably saved her some searching as well. She hoped that her howl wouldn't make him nervous, she hadn't thought about that, and she had already howled for him. Oh well. She would find out soon enough.

thanks for starting! <3

because arlette was Safe, lestan experienced only a moment of startle when she called for him. and it was not fear, only a moment's distraction which cost him the nutria he had been stalking for a shamefully long time.
scoffing a little, lestan chided himself and trotted at once to see what arlette needed.
each day his impediment did not feel so great; more than once had the mayfair already been able to speak in a few sentences with only simple mistakes. she was magical, and his attentive gratitude was great.

Always happy to have another thread with you!! <3

Arlette decided to stay put, mostly so wouldn't miss each other. He might go to the location of her howl, and then she wouldn't be there. She smiled when she spotted him. It was good to see him. Hi! I hope I didn't disturb you, she started and sat down. I was mostly curious how things were going with you, she offered kindly.

If it isn't working we can try other things, perhaps, she hummed. She was motivated to help him, it was interesting case. But most of all, she felt Lestan deserved to be helped.

u may have more .... :O

how was it going? "it's — it's w-working, and quickly. m-more than i thought, arlette, t-truly," lestan gushed. "i haven't tried s-singing yet, but any conversations i've had, they've g-gone far more smoothly."
"i'm even sl-sleeping better, can you imagine!" the mayfair exulted, his eyes filled with a platonically affectionate light for the healer. "you've s-saved me, arlette," he went on, suddenly quite serious indeed. "it's been m-misery this past year, and just w-worse. i was r-ready to give up."

Spoiled, honestly <3

Arlette's tail started to wag faster instantly at the news. The female was so glad for him that he was feeling better about his speech. Well, I am so glad that it does! I had hoped it might but wasn't certain, she offered. Well, then he should continue with it, especially if it helped him so much. It was well deserved. This was something he wanted so badly, and now he could.

It is a known benefit of the plant, she confirmed. She was so glad for him. It made her truly so happy that she was able to help him. Oh gosh, well, that's sweet, she admitted when he said that she saved him. She wanted to brush it off, but she knew that for him it truly felt that way. She didn't want to dismiss that feeling. I am so glad you didn't, she smiled. We should have tried sooner, but in hindsight it is always easier to say that, she spoke.

Well, then we will continue with the plant, take the same as you have been. Then perhaps when winter truly have set in we can slowly try to lessen to see if you can go without it, she suggested. But for now, I'd say keep doing what you are doing. And perhaps even try to sing again, she beamed.

sorry for the wait! <3

"oh, but we s-started now, and not a moment too soon!" lestan assured her with a bright gaze. "i'll keep taking it, and oh, i'll k-keep looking for that lavender," he assured, having not forgotten in the least what he meant.
"are there other p-plants with properties like this? i mean, of course there are, but for — those like m-me." honestly, the whole practice of medicine was beginning to appeal more and more, despite the fact he knew he'd never be as skilled as arlette.
but learning was half the beauty, was it not?

Same for me! <3 Holidays! Extroverted life took over lol

The healer smiled, so glad to see him so happy. Yes, thank you. I think it might be out of season, she spoke. Winter was always a tough season. No fresh plants, and having to work with dried versions. It always felt less potent. I heard about dandelion leaves, but those are not in season. I do not know the dosage so perhaps be careful with that, she explained. I always use Chamomile since it is longer in season, she added.

I have not heard about other plants that could calm down wolves. Well, Poppy seeds but they are more pain relief, then the side effect is a calmer wolf. But not like Chamomile and Lavender She hoped it would help him. I will make sure that once spring comes to add extra plants to the garden and dry extra in the summer sun for later usage, she told him.

lol felt! <3

poppy. lavender. chamomile. all very helpful. "do you think it would benefit me to — to tell others a-about this, i m-mean," lestan asked. "or sh-should they c-come to a healer first?"
dosing oneself was not a positive first step, the mayfair suspected, but if he were able to save a single wolf from such a fate as his, it was a wisdom he wished to pass along.
poppy as pain relief; lestan filed that aside as he waited for arlette to answer, picturing a vague idea of what that flower might look like.

Arlette thought about it for a moment. Of course, if you know someone that could benefit from it, you should tell them! No need to be a healer, she smiled. If it helps you, it can help others as well, Arlette hummed. But be mindful of the amounts. If someone is smaller never give them more than you take. Start small and slowly increase. She knew that Lestan would be mindful with that. Would you be interested in becoming a healer?

"m-maybe! i don't know that i am suited f-for it quite the way y-you are. but i could stand to learn. in fact, i would welcome it," lestan finished with a stalwart resolution to steady his voice.
filing away arlette's necessary instruction, he bobbed his head solemnly. "are you — do you need anything else around here? i sh-should start a patrol. and try to s-sing," he added, a little smile to his mouth.

Arlette shook her head. Nonsense, she spoke right away. I was a completely different wolf when I started with healing. Experience and adeptness comes with experience, she assured him with a nod. I'd be happy to teach you, she offered. Spreading the knowledge have her the greatest joy.

Winter is time for rest, the plants rest so the healers do to with gathering, she admitted. Autumn is for roots, and spring and summer are for gathering. At least that is the cycle she used. Oh yes, try singing! I am curious if it improves as well.

happy to fade or keep going!

"th-then i will do that," he decided. "w-will you tell me about the properties of mint? i know th-there are several kinds. spearmint, mountain mint, and wintergreen."
he blinked studiously at arlette. "and how c-can they best be harvested? i ask because i f-find them to be such pleasant plants."
he'd never had plans for a garden. was it possible to possess them now?

Lets fade and start a new one maybe? :D

Arlette raised her brows in surprise. I am not too familiar with difference in mints if I am honest, she hoped he wouldn't be disappointed with that. She was not all knowing, she wold never be all knowing. I do know mint can be mixed with water or ingested orally. It can clean teeth, the tea version can aid with headaches and nausea.

She then explained how best to harvest the mint, for use and dosage but also how to grow a new plant out of it. She usually tug the plant out by its root and then replanted it somewhere else. Chatting with him some more about possibilities of adding it to the garden.
