Young Leta was a curious cub. If she was not sleeping or eating, she was seeking to explore. It was late, this time, when Leta awoke—in the dead of night. Blinking sleep away, as she often did, she surveyed her surroundings with the sort of half-regard most sleepy children would. Her attention to detail was minimal at best, and nonexistent at worst. Moonlight spilled into the mouth of their den, and having never seen something quite like that at their doorstep, Leta rose to all fours and ambled in that direction.
She sniffed at the pool of moonlight that seemed a very solid thing from where she stood. Dust-mites danced around and Leta snapped playfully at one, letting out a delighted noise and it twirled out of reach that became disappointed as she saw the direction it went. Well, when had that ever stopped her before?
Wasting not a second more, Leta darted out—and when she snapped again at the dust-mite, and it spiraled upward, her attention upon it was lost as she, for the first time, saw stars. They were the most beautiful things she had ever seen, but she needed answers. Who usually had them? Mother and father, even if she did not understand them entirely (though she was beginning to—she was starting to recognize with more certanity that she was Leta, for instance, and that Clay was Clay and not West, and West was West... and so forth).
First in her trajectory was her father. Leta crawled upon the mountainous man and moved to rouse him, nosing his chin gently. When her excitement was too much to bear, she gave @Greyback a dozen kisses (the usual way she woke her parents, when she was the first to rise and they still slept) before scampering to @Valette to do the very same.
They had to see this.

The man, awaken from his slumber by the soft weight and dozen kisses plastered along his face, let out a low grumble before staggering up to sit. Slowly, he blinked the sleep out of his eyes and contemplated his existence in the early morning or... late night light? He stood still, finding energy, and when the world finally settled he immediately looked down to see Leta rousing about. Did she have to go pee?
"Leta, dear, don't wake up your mother." he whispered harshly.

The mother already roused a bit when she felt the warmth of her mate moved away from her. Valette's ear twitched when she heard Greyback's harsh whisper and the patter of feet towards her. The mother usually slept lightly especially when Greyback wasn't around to be close to the den entrance. She had been snuggled against her mate but since he moved she couldn't help but open her eyes briefly. She was very tired. Nursing four children made her skinnier than she expected. Luckily they were mostly on meat nowadays but that meant working hard to catch them meals.
Valette quickly scanned the situation, Leta and Greyback, figured that nothing was amiss and curled around her three boys. Greyback was probably going to take Leta outside to pee but she was certain that he could handle it. Valette was glad that she had someone to help her this time. It didn't take long for her breathing to even out and fall back asleep with her other children.

Her father spoke to her, fortunately getting her attention prior to real effort being put forth to wake her mother. The whispers tone was not at all noted or deemed as harsh by Leta, who was still in the thick of learning. But by now her name was recognizable, and she responded with an alert and eager look. Her tail waved wildly as she dashed toward him and once she arrived before him the girl shifted her weight, gathering herself, and turned to dash outside, fully expecting him to follow now that he was awake.

Greyback watched as Valette promptly woke up, her gaze tired and looking at him before she turned away and curled around the rest of the pups. He couldnt help but be grumpy knowing his attempt to dissuade Leta failed. He was just glad Valette had been able to go back to sleep.
As Leta pranced and dashed outside of the den with haste he followed, his posture slumped over for sleep. The sooner she went potty the sooner he could go back to sleep. Next to Valette. Next to the warmth. Ugh, he wanted to go back now. He had hoped his daughter would of been quick with her business, but was curious when she didnt.
"Leta, dear, what are you up to?" he yawned.
