He approached the border slowly, with great care. He called for @Sialuk in the same fashion, knowing she might send a deputy to deal with his song given her status as a mother.

Brecheliant could wait. His half-siblings were grown; they didn't need his guidance.

His children did.

Killdeer lingered around the edges of the great mountain, waiting for someone to receive him. He even happened upon a rabbit's den, and snared a female hare. Whenever he was greeted, he would have food to share.

He intended to stay, as a father. Loyally. Purposefully.

Arrluk did not know the visitor at their borders as a father to Moonspear, so came with neutrality, yet openness. Sea-green eyes dance over the large man as he paces through the foothills towards the borders.

Welcome to village Moonspear. His steps halt when he is at good space, dipping his white chin to the man and taking note of the gift of hunt brought with him. You bring favors, yet what can Moonspear do for you?

A vaguely familiar voice called, and Sialuk moved away from the ulaq, entrusting her children in the care of a trusted guardian. They were growing quickly now, looking more like adults and less like babes with each day that passed. Two moons had come and gone, and it was both Arrluk and Killdeer who stood upon Moonspear's border when she arrived.

She greeted Arrluk warmly with a nudge to his shoulder with her muzzle, then turned her attention to Killdeer. Have you come to see them? she asked. Her eyes drifted to the rabbit, and she could feel the saliva begin to pool in her mouth. A mother was always hungry, and he was smart to bring food.

A young dark-furred man greeted him first. Killdeer opened his mouth to reply, but soon was cut off by the arrival of Sialuk, proud and pale and mountain-strong.

As always, he reveled in her presence. But he held firm—

I come to stay, Killer replied, with a nod. To look after my children. To serve Moonspear.

He'd made the decision, difficult as it was.

I can hunt, fight, defend, he went on, and guide young ones. I ask for permission to join your pack again.

Cameo and powerplay of Ajei since she is mine <3

Tiki escaped her babysitter with a soft laugh. Little limbs running helter skelter towards the borders. The quiet one Ajei chasing after her with delicate paws.  She would catch her as she almost rammed into the back legs of the dark black wolf.

She raised a paw with a giggle to the wolf at the borders. He had some of the same colors as she did. She giggled again and Ajei quickly swooped in and gathered her up.

Sorry. Ajei whispered and pulled tiki away, giggling begging to play longer.

It was the silvery off-white coat of his eldest sister which he saw from the corner of his green-blue gaze. She greeted him in quiet gestures and Arrluk's ears sweep back, tail waging lowly between his legs and his tongue jutting out in respectful submission.

Come to see them? Arrluk didn't understand the reference until the man spoke up again and about the pups. He had sired them, then, but did not stay as her mate? In Moonglow, often a pair was betrothed young and if was quite a time before they officially were old enough to marry and have pups. Things were different here, relationships open, pups who treated a number of the women as mothers.

Arrluk thought back to Sakhmet and did his best to hold back the frown... Arrluk only keeps quiet watch until his watch was ended.

Tikaani made a brief appearance, followed quickly by Ajei who wrangled the child back to her home. Sialuk watched with amusement, returning her gaze to Killdeer as the two left the scene. Arrluk remained quiet and steadfast, and Sialuk silently thanked him for his show of solidarity here on the border.

Of course, she replied to Killdeer. Come, I will take you to them. When you are ready, if you are ready, they can know you as father. The word was foreign on her tongue. Argent could have claimed that title if he had stayed. The sweet, young coyote could have claimed the title if he had not been taken from them. Chakliux would always be uncle to them, if only because he had a family of his own on the coast.

Before anything else could be said, a kid crashed the party. His eyes were drawn to the piebald child, giggling and making a ruckus, and widened with a second glance. He'd seen himself enough in a mirror to know that. . .that—

Pup corraled, the adults continued their conversation, and he shook himself briefly as he listened to Sialuk. Killdeer smiled at her acceptance and gave a solemn nod of his head.

Thank you, Sialuk, he responded. He turned his gaze to the other young man and asked, I'm Killdeer, by the way. I don't think we've met. They would be bonded in pack together, at the very least.

Killer turned his attention toward Sialuk, and the mountain ahead. Another season, another pack.

This time, he intended to stay.

Arrluk's eyes would sweep to Ajei as she retreated with his niece and Sialuk allowed the man here to return to his home, as well as being known as father to the pups should he choose, in due time.

The young man's head lifts as he is addressed. Arrluk Nuiruk. Son of Moonwoman and Sunman. He addressed formally, his white chin dipping in respect to the newest adult in their ranks and, one who fathered his latest family members.
