All Welcome
The nightmare wolf desired to find the other Eisen and properly introduce herself, however the wolf was harder to locate then thought. She didn't wish to purposely hunt down the other, and wanted to be a pleasant evening then one of stalkery. A sigh, escaped from Asra as she thought how rude she may appear.

Hopefully, on this day she does find @Wylla.

Ordinarily an attentive leader, Wylla had missed Asra's induction to the pack entirely on account of spending more and more time in the Tangle, hunting and watching for Rusalka's wolves. Soon, she would bring Sagtannet to bear against them, but in the meantime, she was content to harass them from afar. They could scarce step beyond their borders without smelling her now, and she hoped that knowing they were watched brought them as much anxiety as their proximity brought her.

She stumbled across Sagtannet's newest purely by mistake, and the sight and smell of yet another woman in the pack put Wylla immediately on edge. At least she knew Takiyok and Star were no threat to her rank or her wants on account of being too old or having other prospecfts (at least, she'd gone ahead and assumed that Taikon was more than a friend to Takiyok). This one was an unknown. Asra was black and white, not unlike Wylla in her biased observation but with starker colours that contrasted more sharply, a strange pink nose, and pale blue eyes that seemed like they'd been chipped from a glacier.

Hello, she said with a mixed air of formality and stiff disapproval.

Wylla was smaller, then imagined, but just as a badger, they were ferocious and full of malice. A  yellow eye toward her direction, but the other was long but gone- an imposing women, Asra thought. Intimidation hung in the war, and the best she could do was have a tall fall low, and a politeful smile to the other.

However, her voice was filled with but formalities and unknown disapproval- the frost-born wolf was not sure what to cause such a stigma, as after all, they only just met. It caused but a stiffness, that she overcome with a soft, and hopefully a warm tone, "Hello Eisen, I am Asra Nightfall, a new thrall to Sagtannet."

Respectfully, she then dipped her head. She was not used to such greetings, as the court knew but everyone in- she hoped it was right.

It seemed this new arrival at least knew their place in the pack. More importantly, they knew hers. Wylla only felt the need to demand respect when she felt it wasn't being given automatically, as was the demand of the hierarchy, and so she relaxed a little. The edges of her softened, but just slightly. She was, after all, suspicious of yet another woman in the pack.

Her recent argument with Mahler drifted unwelcome into her mind. Maybe in believing that she intended to replace him, he had already sought to do the same. It had been a long time since they had a joiner out of nowhere, and what were the odds it was a beautiful woman? Biding her time and seeing what he was going to do hadn't got her much in the past, so Wylla decided at once to be direct about it. Have you come here to court Mahler? There was a sharpness to her yellow gaze that hadn't been there before, a tension to her jaw.

She really could not justify bloodying a packmate's hide for having designs on her man—they were not technically bonded, despite that possessive feeling—could she?

The frost-strikened woman looked at the Eisen in surprise. Her mouth agape, stumbling on how to respond to this so- as Asra never considered courting the man she knew as the Alpha, much less to one she just had met. She firmly believed relations should be built before so, and being betrayed once, she was moreso careful on who to pursue.

"No ma'am," she shook her head, "I do not have a desire unless it is a man I truly love- much less to someone I just met." She even had no intention for family in spring, for there was no one she was particularly close to. Even though she held a friendship with a few, hoping they would feel the same, it did not equal to love that Asra would want from someone.

"Is he your husband?" Though with such possessiveness, she could not help but ask as so.

The tension bled out of her jaw and her muscles slackened. The suspicion, however, lingered. Maybe Asra didn't have any current designs on Mahler, but how long before the man decided that she deserved children and made a contract with her and fought Wylla tooth and nail for her "right" to bear his young? He had yet to express any true remorse for how his contract with Nyx had harmed her, only prideful self-deprecation, giving Wylla no reason to believe that he would not repeat it.

Something hot and dangerous licked at her throat when Asra posed her question. No, she said, firm. She wasn't certain the rift between her and Mahler could ever be bridged without substantial effort on his part, and she sincerely doubted he would go so far. Lazy. He only ever took the easy way, and held her in contempt for wanting more than that.

Swallowing acid, Wylla said in a gritted voice, welcome to Sagtannet, before turning as if to leave Asra alone. Only time would tell if her fears continued to be founded or not, and until then, she felt uncomfortable in the woman's presence. Another Nyx come to haunt her? She could only wait and see, and knew if that came to pass, she would not remain to see his next batch of contractual children born.

Asra had no intention for children as well, not desiring to be a single mother. She held the dreams of a husband and children, but only when that trust is built between a wolf she truly loved. It was not something she desired for the season coming, and wouldn't pursue the greenlit on such actions. It only assumed perhaps Star, already baring young, would again, or even the two she presumed were together.. Though were not.

"Thank you," with all the uncomfortable tensions that built up between the two, the frost-woman had no intention to ask for more from the conversation. She dipped her head down in a natural respect toward the Alpha, as the other turned away from her to leave.
