forward dated to when pups can hit the rendezvous! Which we may have hit actually anyhow… oop

Today the gentle, whispering winds stirred New Snow. She looked down upon her growing girls with a soft smile before rising and stretching, yawning none too quietly. The sound might rouse the girls, but that was alright. Today would be a big day for them, and the sooner they began the better.

New Snow swept outside and sniffed at the earth. She called to @Augur to join her on this venture with their @Saturdays Sunrise and @Saturdays Sunset this day. She thought of the year before—and would take the children this time to the rendezvous of Red Woman. Losing their daughter the year prior, New Snow felt it would be better this way.

She summoned her daughters to her with a low chuff, and waited.

Despite her rowdy nature, Sunrise was a heavy sleeper and initially did not stir when Mother let out her yawn. However, feeling her warm blanket up and leaving caused a blue eye to peak open. Sunrise perks her head up, messy puppy fur standing in a funny front cowlick as she looks to see what all the commotion is about. Mother wanted them to follow, but why so early?

Groggily, Sunrise comes to push her nose against Sunset to get her up before doing her own little morning stretch [and very obnoxiously loud yawn-like grumble] and eventually coming to Mother's side, head resting against her tall white limbs as she looks up to her chuffs questioning about what they were all going to be doing.

Sunrise is a nonverbal character and communicates using facial expression, body language, and primitive vocalization. Please see her pawprints for more details on threading with her!

Avicus had reclaimed her title, which should’ve put everything to rights, though it had only resulted in more tension among the stronger personalities in the pack. Masquerade had a lot of feelings and opinions, though they left it to their superiors to sort out and focused on their sitter duties. They didn’t want the pups in the pack to feel the effects of the disunity taking place in and on the rise.

Carrying a juicy pig’s hoof in their mouth this morning, they trotted toward New Snow’s den. It was quite early, so they intended to quietly drop off their gift and go. Masque paused when they saw the mother rousing her girls from their bed already. Their tail wagged low at the sight. They let out an inquisitive whine and remained where they stood, wondering if they would be welcome to join the family as a chaperone on whatever adventure was taking place.

his daughters had grown large enough for their den to be left again.

augur was in fine form. he nipped at each of the little ones gently, whining. he butted new snow with soft affection, and woofed to thorn caller.

the child of red woman was welcome in their new role as caru, though a cant of his head left the final say to new snow.

Just a cameo for me :-)

So many changes were happening.

Saturday Sunset’s puppy blonde had faded into a bright platinum and her eyes transformed from blue to green in anticipation of their final shade of amber. A growth spurt sapped all her energy and the little cygnet found herself a bit clumsier than usual.

Outside their den, the pack shuffled like a deck of stiff cards.

But today, the family moved from their birth den to a new place.

A tickle on her nose…

Wake! Our legs must move!
the spirit cheered.

Saturday’s Sunet’s sleepy head perked up at her sister’s touch. Mother and Father’s long white legs could be spied through the den’s entrance.

A new day, the spirit sang.

As it did in nature, Sunset followed Sunrise and greeted her parents with happy and placating licks on the chin. Then, she looked around and wondered where they would go next.
