Wraen nuzzled the fur on her sister's neck affectionately and walked side by side with her to the figurative lunch-table. She spent the rest of the day and following night, lying next to Maia, watching her sleep and guarding her from the dark shadows and nightmares of the night. And at one point with her head resting atop Maia's back, she fell asleep and was revisited by a memory that was as old as Wraen herself.
