Wraen misheard Wildfire's last statement and for few seconds there she stared at Sovereign in wonder - she was Eljay's third mate? Of all the things Eljay was, him being a marriage-shark was not one of them. He was not the kind of guy... yes, he was not the kind of guy. "Ah! Alright - wow," Wraen recovered, though feeling a little awkward for her mistake. 

She was about to get on with a cheeky question of - whether they met the same fate as the Bluebeard's wives - but refrained from it. This was too dark and Wildfire might not understand. The next good thing was to ask, what had happened, but this time it was too personal and, what business did Wraen have in it? People were entitled to have their secrets.
